I was on Zusi's side in the second half of the Honduras game. He was busting major arse on that side - it was his run and beautiful flick that set up the goal. The only goal in a 1-0 win, at that.

LINK

The video doesn't show it, but he had been chopped down about ten minutes prior, and was really laboring. Brad Davis was at the 4th official to be subbed in. Zusi makes a twenty yard limping sprint to pick off a ball, feeds it to Jones(? Cameron? Dempsey?) and then keeps sprinting to the 18, and gets in place for the lay off to Fabian.

We had been yelling, encouraging him for ten minutes "C'mon Graham! The sub's coming, sub's coming, keep working." He made the sprint, the flick, and then came off.

Zusi also plays out wide, while Feilhaber plays more centrally.

Yep. Zusi actually used to play centrally but in recent years has moved out wide. On the radio the other day, he was saying how now he feels like he is comfortable playing out wide because he has done it so much in recent years. And even when he is out wide for SKC, he has the freedom to roam all over the field and I think that what makes him so good, along with his effort on both sides of the ball, is that he is able to play on the left wing, centrally, or on the right wing.

And I agree with people saying that Benny has been playing really good lately, won't comment on if it is the best form of his career, because I rarely watched him before he moved to KC, but he has been playing really, really. well. Not sure if he will get the call from Jurgen, though.

I really like this goal against Houston in the playoffs last year, involving both of them, partly also because it was such an important goal, but they both were great in setting it up, with Zusi coming inside and then Benny making a great chip pass to Dwyer, who showed great poise and actually put a ball in the back of the net : LINK

That is my generation. Sorry guys, we were too busy smoking weed and going off to college. Wasn't much of a career in playing professional soccer. I mean fricking Ricardo Clark was a starter for the national team and he was awful.
