Chatter about Julen possibly leaving. What a shitshow.

It’s time to make the call

Jeff Shi posted a letter a few days ago. Here is part of it.

quote:

We are working hard to try to improve our performance on the pitch at the moment, as we always do. We are also working hard to make sure the club have a long-term robustness and sustainability. The latter is equally important, because we’ve seen many cases in the football industry where short-term achievement could not bring long-term success. Even in recent seasons, we have seen a lot of clubs in the UK and around the world struggle to maintain a sustainable balance of both sporting performance and financial strength.

quote:

First of all, Fosun remains committed to Wolves and has never had any plans to sell the club. The club is a long-term project and an important one for Fosun.

Rest of the article is using FFP and the COVID year as an excuse. I hate this ownership and each year it is getting worse.

I’m not mad at hiring Gary. He’s solid.

Great game. We need to finish better. A shame VAR rigged that.

Didn’t see second half but wolves were the better first half side.

Referees who missed a foul in Man United-Wolves not involved in next set of Premier League games

quote:

LONDON (AP) — The match officials who failed to award Wolverhampton a late penalty against Manchester United in the opening round of the Premier League have not been selected for any game in the next set of matches. Wolves manager Gary O’Neil said he received an apology from elite referees’ manager Jon Moss after the team was denied a stoppage-time penalty when United goalkeeper Andre Onana ran into substitute Sasa Kalajdzic. United won 1-0. The referee for the game, Simon Hooper, did not award the spot kick and the video assistant referee deemed there was no foul. The two officials were missing from the list published by the Premier League on Tuesday for the second set of matches.

Confirms how badly this game was rigged.

Definitely should have left with a point. I was impressed how we created opportunities on the attack but got to get more support and find a way to finish. We didn’t score much last year and that is trend that cannot happen again this year. Defending did a pretty decent job shutting down some of Man United’s attacks. Have to clean up some mistakes but overall decent job.

Not surprised we got fricked. It’s going to happen. Team played well, all things considered. There’s some talent, if not depth. If we can get some leadership inside the squad, I’m hopeful for this season.
