Tunstall Town ends 6 1/2 year drought

The longest winless streak in English football was broken on Saturday afternoon when Tunstall Town finally battled their way to a home victory, ending a jinx that dated back 6 1/2 years.
It was an awfully long time in coming. The 2-1 victory Saturday over Betley FC Reserves in Division Two of the Staffordshire County Senior League brought Tunstall Town's gargantuan hoodoo to an end -- prompting a match report to be posted on the club's official website, entitled "AT LAST.... A WIN"
Before the weekend's heroics, Town last won a game in September 2007, with the Stoke-on-Trent side then embarking on an epic run of 171 games without repeating the feat.
Just to emphasise how low things sunk for Tunstall since, the streak also included a dismal sequence of 143 consecutive defeats that was finally ended in January 2013 courtesy of a 1-1 draw against Whittington.

Damn, what league were they in when it all began? Is that 6, 7 relegations?
