All the attention whoring over women's soccer is dumb

even though i have not watched a min of any match i am not wanting them to knocked out just bc I don't like some purple hair chick or them bitching about equal pay while providing an inferior product vs inferior competition

like I said, its just because for one reason or another I haven't followed them really at all over the last 4 years, and theres been a roster change since. Man city(maybe other clubs too) does a great job promoting its women's team, thus, I know more players on england than the USA team. Hell I watched my first women's game against France, had no idea hope not only wasn't the starter, but wasn't even on the team. And I spent a decent amount of time looking for Carly

Absolutely. A few teams could win it this year, in the past it felt like only a few teams could even score on us.

our domestic league and the lack of investment in it

compared to giant european clubs going all in on the ladies game

You have clubs probably put in more money into it than our entire federation.

Germany's regressed. Why aren't you talking about that? Japan's been in the last 2 finals and theyre gone too. Not a peep from you.

Let's be honest you're just ticked that they're not doing it the European way or whatever gay arse shite you believe

The other countries are not regressing, others are getting better.

you clearly have not been keeping up with the growth of the womens leagues abroad while the american one is in netural

I've heard diff things on podcasts that we haven't really done anything to evolve. The European teams are and have caught up. Big clubs in Europe are giving their women's teams support. We don't have giant clubs like that over here.

As an Arsenal fan, they are really pumping up the lady Gunners.

I've started to enjoy the troll. The sheer amount of soccer gear this nerd posts is hilarious.

There's going to be far more money in the European women's game. The NWSL should have paired itself with the MLS.

Honestly, nothing about the way America approaches soccer makes any sense. Women's soccer is no different.

In less than a generation (i.e. from 2010), the Europeans have caught up, simply by using the same formula they use for the men's game. We had a 20 year head-start, and have pretty much lost that lead. We still can produce good players and be competitive, but I feel as though we need at least 6 more professional teams. 9 isn't enough.
