Ibra was my first thought as well. I may be confusing him with another player, but I'm fairly sure he was receiving a lot of negative criticism from the English media. They said the physicality of the English game would make him less effective.

Maybe a move to squelch the haters?

Thats what I thought about Torres, but considering the amount of jack we got and seeing Suarez in the red shirt has helped me get over it quickly...

I would assume Cesc wouldn't be cheap and that Arsene would invest all the cash back into the squad...

I would get over the initial stomach issues if the result was even close to what Suarez has meant to Pool. It would still suck.

Cesc and Silva with De Jong as the enforcer would be a ridiculous central mid field.

if ibra goes to city, he'll be another ade

ibra is one of those guys with insane talent and he will never live up to it in games (esp big ones)

what do they do with dzeko? 2 bigger/slower strikers up front?

You're talking about a guy with 200 goals in his career. I think he's a bit overrated, but comparing him to Adebayor diminishes the great career he's had. If Ibra is like Adebayor in any way it would be that Mancini would waste his talent too if he came to City.

And as for Cesc in powder blue, I agree Glass. It would make me sick. The guy is an Arsenal legend whether or not he leaves this summer. Unlike Torres, who was only at 'Pool for 4 years, Cesc has grown up at Arsenal. He's the sole stalwart (besides Clichy I guess) from the Arsenal squad at the time I started getting into the EPL in '05 Its going to be a sad day no matter when he leaves Arsenal, but I couldn't stomach him playing for Citeh. Unless they gave us 50mil in which case, I could probably move on.

You get 50 mil for Cesc, TAKE. THAT. shite. I think he's a good player, but I think Arsenal fans value him much more than I do.

No doubt we would take it. It is what we do with it that counts.

Arsene would probably spend it on 50 players.

Absolutely no way Wenger would sell Fabregas. It would take Ronaldo type money for that to happen.

Man City are also rumored to be interested in Wilshere.

I wouldn't sell Wilshere if it was a record transfer at this point.

I don't see jack moving anywhere. I mean, his team On FM2011 is Arsenal... That says it all

He bought Gerrard and Ashley Young as well.

If we sold either Fabregas or Wilshere to Man City, I'd be suicidal.

Kaka to Chelsea is what I'm seeing.

I think it's a pretty good idea if they can get a good price on him. Playing balls over the top like they do for Drogba is not going to work with Torres. Kaka feeding Torres the ball could be a magical duo. I would sell Drogba and Anelka and bring back Sturridge.

I'm thinking out loud right now...

You really think both are used up before 30?

I don't.

Torres, no, though he needs to rest all summer, as he's been a shell this season. Kaka, yes, as he's nearly 30 and doesn't have the ability to impose on games that he once did.

he has a ton of potential. Definitely has a future for England that's for sure.
