Definitely credit this to Rudi Garcia. Lille was an attacking force with Gervinho, Hazard, and Sow, and had a solid foundation with Mavuba, Cabaye, Rami and Debuchy behind them.

I'm interested to see how Garcia handles losing players. I think he could be a candidate for better jobs in the future. Fairly young and loves attacking.

A lot of talk lately about John Arne Riise to Fulham. Fulham definitely need an attacking left back and his brother does play for them (when he's not out on loan).

I'm more pleased with Riise than some of the people we've been linked with: Robbie Keane (who apparently will be linked with Fulham every transfer window no matter what), some central midfielder from Stoke, Liam Ridgewell, etc.
Fulham have also been linked with Defoe and Jenas. I have a hard time seeing how we would be able to pay Defoe's wages but if so I'd like to see it. Jenas is just about as uninspiring as a player can be. He's ok I guess but I still haven't figured out what exactly it is that he does well.

Apparently Martin Jol has said on radio that the Riise deal is done, he just has to pass a medical. Sky Sports reporting it too.
