I agree, but I’m so high in this next season, that I’m impatient. Conte is right in that needing a championship run we need the depth but I don’t want to wait 2 more seasons for that to happen.

I actually believe Conte is making a run now. We beat Man City twice last season. We tied (and deserved to beat) Liverpool twice last season. Improve depth and stop dropping points where we shouldn't. Conte is coming for big things NOW. It's what he does. Will it happen? I obviously don't know, but I personally believe the silverware drought is about to end.

What would a season long thread be without Arse fans sticking their nose in?

We're official now lads.

Just need the serial downvoter now from last year

Don't worry, I've reserved a spot on the ARSe 1st page. If you have any ideas, we can keep it as a rotation of shite posting throughout the season.

Does anyone have a subscription to SPURSPLAY for the season? What can you tell me about it? Or will you go the Peacock route?

Hard to play with intensity with humidity and bananas hanging around our necks.

Well that was a blandish outing. Both teams looked like they were slogging their way through the humidity, moving slowly.

A few terrible calls against us, especially that BS nonPK call against Harry. They called the foul on him!

This year will be my first year following the Premier League (or any soccer in general). I’ve settled on Tottenham so hello everyone. Anyone wanna try to initiate me into this fandom better?

Welcome! This should be an exciting year to become a Spurs fan. Conte is poised to take Tottenham to heights not seen in a long time.

But, we are Spurs, so that’s not a given. We tend to find ways to keep us from reaching silverware. But that’s what makes being a Spurs fan so much fun, one day it’ll happen and it will be so sweet!

Edited to add, screw Arsenal. One things for sure, we will finish ahead of them again and that means all is right in the world. COYS!

Conte on being committed long term:

"I repeat that I'm not a coach who needs to sign a contract for money. I don't need that. In this moment I don't need this. I need to have enthusiasm and the passion for this role."

Any thoughts on Maddison? I really want him but I doubt we’ll offer a £60 million bid.
