I want another forward.

Apparently, Danny Rose has NOT made the trip to the US with the team because.....wait for it......waiiiiiittt....he lost his passport.

Yeah I heard that but the official website has him listed in Denver. Very confusing.

He's there. But we only brought three wingers. Yedlin, Chadli and Lamela. So yeah, we may need to get one of those in the transfer market. (And that's with considering Yedlin a winger)
No Soldado either. So that means he is prob done. Going to like seeing Shaq out there! Let's see what he can do!

Curious what kind of lineup we go with? Do we start Toby next to Jan immediately? (I hope so)
Rose and Walker, then subbed for Trippier and Davies?
I think we start like we finished except with Vorn and Toby in lineup. And Dier at DM(can't believe I typed that)
________Vorm______
Walker Toby Jan Rose
Dier Bentaleb
Lamela Eriksen Chadli
Hurricane

Tottenham XI vs. #MLS: Vorm; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier Bentaleb; Dembele, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane. No Yedlin to start

Well this is going swimmingly.

I dont really care about the score in this exhibition. I'm very encouraged by the play of the team. They seem sharp and the system is getting more engrained in the team. The young guys looked very serviceable at a minimum and the vets looked improved.
Work on a few things and some fitness over the next couple weeks and we are ready to roll.
I'm excited now. Bring on the season COYS!

I feel we played well. I don't, EVER, want to see Fazio on the field again. I LOLed when Kane gave him the armband.
Impressed my Alli's size.
Carolls vision was on point.
Really happy with Trippier and his crosses.
Dembele did well at the 10 and kept the ball moving forward.
Lots of good things to take away from this game. Not Fazio.

I liked seeing the younger guys, that was fun. We still need someone on the right side, and Kane needs some help up top. Some problems on Defense that I hope gets worked out, but for the 1st real friendly they didn't look too bad.

Dier didn't look bad at DM either.
Right side will be Lamela.
Right side will be Lamela.

How did I forget about Lamela? Geez, I guess it was so bad tonight I just blacked it all out.

I realized watching the game last night that y'all have been extraordinarily quiet this off-season in terms of signing players. I say quiet compared to Daniel Levy's usual off-season wheeling and dealing. I know you have moved several on but could only remember Alderweireld (? - too lazy to look up) and Trippier coming in. Any other moves expected?

The OP has a list of players in and out. But there was an interview with Levy in the last few weeks basically saying that they were going to be pretty quiet until near the end of the transfer window. Not really sure the thought process behind that. Maybe he figured it would take some time to offload some dead weight (Adebayor, Soldado, Lennon), and he wants those players out before spending to bring new ones in.

Pro Soccer Talk Tottenham Preview write up

:sigh:
PST predicts: While everyone at White Hart Lane will be thinking top-four, it looks like Tottenham may fall short once again. The side struggled to balance the Premier League with the Europa League last season, and this year there will be even more pressure to succeed in both. If Harry Kane goes down, there’s a big question as to where the goals will come from for Spurs.
