That's awesome! Super jealous. I'm hoping to get there in March/April. Going to Normandy with my dad and I'm like: "oh yeah, we should definitely fly into London" Haha!

What did the 3rd goal look like? Dang work.
Also, how many subs have we made? I hate not being able to keep up.

Third goal was just a penalty.
And our only sub was Holtby on for Sandro.

I didn't realize it was streaming online. So I was able to log in and watch the last 25-ish minutes of the match....still better than not watching any at all.

That's awesome, lots of fresh legs for Sunday!

Milos came on for Vlad super late. We had a ton of chances that weren't converted other than the missed penalty could have dropped 6 on them easily. Kane, Paulhino and townsend looked good imo. Kaboul also did a good job in the back end.

I was just doing some thinking and I'm glad we had to play this round of the Europa vs Everton not having too.
It gave us two extra games, against a lesser talent:
1. To practice Poch's system
2. To help him evaluate the squad in real time
3. To pinpoint what we need to aquire
And we did it all without any injuries. Plus against pool we will feature a 100% different squad minus Hugo.
What an incredible start to a season this has been!!!

Spurs now 4-0 since I picked them.
I feel like I have a basic background of the team/history but I have one (probably dumb) question. It seems like we spend similar cash to the big 4...do you foresee us regularly competing for EPL titles in the future rather than just a shot at a 4th place finish?

We don't spend with the top clubs. We spent a ton last summer because of the Gareth Bale sale. Real Madrid paid us somewhere between 91 and 100 million euros. That funded the whole summer. We also sold Luka Modric recently, which funded a lot. Check out this table. Notice our gross spending is a lot, but we have actually made money on transfers the last five years. Daniel Levy is the toughest negotiator out there (sometimes causing us to miss out on players who want to be here).
As far as competing with the Top clubs, we are a long way out. They are all funded by ownership groups that don't mind losing money for wins. Right now the goal is Champions League. Champions League clubs make more money. Period. If we got to the point where we were consistently there, then we could make a run at the PL title.
That said, I love Poch and this roster, and who knows? Maybe we can shock the world.

UEFA Europa League Draw
Group C
Tottenham Hotspur
Besiktas (Turkey)
Partizan (Serbia)
Asteras (Greece)
Long travels ahead for Spurs.
also Besiktas got to this round by losing to Arsenal 1-0 in this years CL playoff.

Favorable draw for us, IMO. I think Everton got drawn in the toughest of the groups.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully we can there with Lamela and co. in good form!

Good draw for Spurs.
Partizan is terrible, but the leg in Belgrade will be tough. Don't think any Spurs players have had explosives thrown at them during a match before...

I agree. No reason we shouldn't get out of the group.

Swagger hit the nail on the head... I would just add that another thing CL play does is make it easier to convince world class players to come to the club. The best players in the world want to play in the most prestigious tournament in the world, so without CL it is hard to bring in the top talent.

Yep (note: pics from the match v Red Star, but Spurs shouldn't expect much different. Partizan and Red Star's fanbases blame England for the diminished stature of their league.)
And travelling fans should expect some trouble (even 90 minutes before the match)
But, as I said, Partizan is absolutely terrible.
