Can't say I'm thrilled by that first half. I know with a stoppage as long as the one at the beginning of the game it is hard to get into a game flow...
But we weren't showing ANY offensive creativity. Paulinho trying to see how little he can run/move in a game? (minus the assist of course)

Paulinho just simply isn't that good. He doesn't want the ball, which is bad for a DCM who should be starting the attack from deep. Often times it looks like he makes half-arse runs in order to look like he is doing something, but he has no intention of getting open enough to receive a pass.

That's a great assessment of him!! Who is actually our Center Attacking Mid right now? Paulinho or Dembele?

Looks like Dembele to me. This is honestly a very tough lineup. We don't have quite the depth to do what Poch wants with the second team. For instance, Lennon hates playing all the way on the left.
Don't even get me started on Lennon though. Literally all he can do is dribble fast in one direction. No ability to make a pass or finish. Every shot he takes is a miss-hit.

Paulinho is playing higher up this half. Great adjustment. He has a very high goal-scoring rate for us.

I didn't get to watch the 1st half but the start of the 2nd seems they are hustling for every loose ball. That was a nice tackle to set up the goal.

Paulinho is so much better as a sloppy #10. I remember Sherwood moved him there his first game. Nothing he does is pretty, but it is effective.

If you take an index card, write SwaggerCopter on it, and take a picture of the index card with WHL in the background, it will feel like I'm there. Just something to think about.
