This is top level professional soccer. There are a million guys who can just run around. Hell, I could have done that 10 years ago. Find one that also has a modicum of soccer skill and it's a massive upgrade.

regardless of formation or Mount's position, we just need a straight up traditional DM in the squad. we dont have one, havent had a decent one since Matic. theres no one to bring on to secure a lead, or to shield a back 4.
i still think Rice is the best option. hes a captain, knows chelsea inside/out, and is already good enough to expect to start. just got to get that price down. Ndidi would be my second choice, we already know hes total quality.
Weigle is my worst case scenario. itd be like Jorginho all over again.
Tchouameni keeps getting mentions, but dont much about him, but he doesnt seem a player ready to challenge for a starting role in a new team/country attempting a title push. Same with Camavinga, who isnt even really a DM, hes more like a Kova. I personally like Locatelli if the club are looking at someone to push Jorgi, not outright replace. He would be a more creative/offensive option.

itd be absurd
and i dont know, with LC signing Soumare', if a decent bid comes in, they may listen. but i dont think their fanbase would take another key player of theirs moving to chelsea.

Inter is in no position to negotiate that high. They’re desperate for $ and asking for the world but nobody will pay that, particularly Marina.

Lukaku said he spoke to the new Inter manager and now wants to stay. I’m guessing he was notified we are going hard for Halaand. At least that’s what I hope.

Chelsea extends Silva and Giroud through 2022. Tuchel signs a deal extending him another two years. Head-scratcher on Giroud…maybe a fail-safe if no new strikers are brought in.
