Did Messi even play today?

Bro, I didn’t even watch the game lmao

Lol I guess logic is melting now
Messi had 3 key passes, 2 chances created, and even had a blocked shot. He scored two goals in the last leg and would have had several assists to put the tie out of reach if his teammates weren’t complete frick ups. Which goal today was his fault exactly? It’s amazing the logistic frickery required to blame any part of Barcelona going out on the Messiah

Messi part of yer another choke job. Only has one legit CL and had to have Suarez and Neymar to get that one.

Barcelona is stacked. No reason for this.
Don't be silly. There's plenty of reasons. Messi created two wonderful chances and flubbed his own chance.
Vidal was a complete passenger going forward, but I think that was a result of good tactics by Klopp, or by Valverde being regressive. I think he thought that Pool wouldn't press as high as they did, which negated Vidal's best attributes, which are his running and his closing down. A more progressive passer would have helped break the press much more easily. The midfield battle was thus won by Pool, who kept the game in the transition phase, and didn't let Barca settle into defensive phases.
Even then, Barca had plenty of chances to score in the first half but they screwed their chances. Messi's individual skill can be irrelevant to the outcome of the game, you know. It doesn't always hinge on his ability. Valverde set the team up fairly poorly and Barca didn't take their chances.

He did flub two chances IIRC and looked off his game for the most part.
This was just Pools night.
Barca needed to make fewer mistakes and/or convert a chance against the run of play, but couldn’t manage any of that.

Was there some controversy with regard to the 2011 CL that I don't remember?

Don’t forget his trademark walking around the pitch for large stretches of time.

I’m just bullshitting in here. Messi is great. Maybe the greatest.

He wasn’t the goat tonight
But he’s still the goat.
Anfield respects no one

The Chelsea match was the worst officiated of all time but the van Persie red is the single worst single decision of all time.
Posted on 5/7/19 at 4:32 pm to RandySavage
Yeah it was idiotic. But I believe Van Persie was on the yellow before for something cunty he did in the game.
We still could have won the game if not for fricking Bendtner. Wilshere was superb that game too.

Probably true that doesn't mean he deserved to get red for taking a shot at goal.
What a donkey

No doubt. I really hate that ref. I think it was Massimo Busacca. Destroyed that game over probably the most inane bullshite.

Without question the worst thing I've seen an official do in any sport.
