The amount of last ditch tackles/blocks Villa had today was ridiculous, impressive honestly.
If Spurs can get a bit more clinical they'll be dangerous.
Also, Grealish drug his jockstrap all over Toby (and everyone else) today. He should really be in the England squad.

Imagine if we could’ve plugged him in today instead of Alli. Sucks that levy didn’t pay up for him when he had the chance.

Grealish has some grade A calves
Posted on 2/16/20 at 8:22 pm to Special K
Would we have a chance at Grealish if Villa gets relegated? Or was last year just a one time chance at him?

I think that was our chance he’s probably way too expensive now.
Levy tried undercutting them when they were broke but then they got new rich owners and weren’t desperate for money anymore

Oh damn, I didn't realize that it happened on that early tackle in the Villa match.
Dude played an entire match with a broken arm and scored two goals.

Terrible time for it to happen, two huge games this week. I mean, if he can play an entire match with a broken arm, he can play this week too, right? Just kidding, kinda, I mean it's not like he needs his arm to play :)

And once again Levy saves a buck at the expense of our shite depth at the striker position. Mourinho should get Manager of The Year if we somehow finish top 4 or 5 to get CL for next year

Klopp will win manager of the year for destroying the pts record and possibly going undefeated but Mourinho has done a really good job.
I like his ability to make it us vs the world and use anything bad that happens as a team unity/strengthening point. He’s got a lot of material at Tottenham to utilize

this style of play just isn’t worth it. There are legitimate players out there, but it’s clear that possession isn’t stressed at all by mourinho. It’s exhausting to watch your team defend for 60-70% of a game against sides that are equal to yours, if not worse, and then just hope you get 1 or 2 fast break goals to win.
Mourinho has been getting results playing this way, but I don’t think it’s sustainable.
ETA: I’ve been really impressed with Gedson so far.

Mid field has not been good today
Gotta hope Leipzig makes a mistake in the back line because our defense will not hold at this current pace

With Son and Kane being out, I would not judge the style of play off of this game.
(I know it hasn't been great overall, but this game is almost an experiment XI)

Pretty miserable to watch. It was one thing when Pochettino switched up his tactics to sit back and counter Dortmund a while back - it absolutely killed them because they weren't expecting it. Instead, we're now getting bossed in possession by teams like Aston Villa, trying to absorb body blow after body blow in hopes of getting a goal when they push too far up.

That’s fair. Not having your two biggest goal threats changes the dynamics, but this is how we played with them in the lineup too.

I hate this style of soccer, I don't care if we win more than we lose. That's all I'm going to say about this.

Intentionally inviting pressure with a back line that includes Davies, Sanchez, and Aurier continues to yield great results.
