Maybe I’m too optimistic but I didn’t think we played THAT bad Saturday. Held our own defensively and didn’t concede right before half. Then we get a second goal that should have seen us get 3 pts but instead get rammed by VAR which totally changed momentum.

I’ll agree the last 20 min was weak but the combo of the VAR call and the quick equalizer (who didn’t see that coming?) completely fricked everybody mentally.

Also, gotta give a shout-out to our serial downvoter. He had me red in a matter of minutes. Really respect the hours he’s putting in

Carabao Cup kicks off today. I'm honestly torqued about this starting XI:

Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Tanganga, Davies, Dier(C), Wanyama, Skipp, Dele, Lucas, Parrott.

This fricking squad. First half against a league 2 side I think they created 1 shot on target from a free kick.

They move the ball so fricking slowly side to side. Even the passes are often slow rollers. The only one who looks remotely dangerous with the ball at their feet is Moura.

This is so fricking awful to watch. We legit suck and will not get better until Poch has moved on. It's beyond evident that the team is no longer motivated by his tactics or really seem to give a shite at all.

This has been building up for a while it seems like. We are absolutely terrible at creating chances against teams that put everyone behind the ball. No creativity, pace, or sense of urgency. Dele, Sanchez, & Dier seem to have taken a serious step backward. KWP offers very little on both ends and has no business starting at right-back for top 6 side. I honestly don't care about the Carabao Cup, but this game paints a pretty grim picture for the ROS.

You can’t watch that match and not get the impression that a change of leadership is inevitable. Every single player outside of Lamela has regressed and looks extremely unmotivated. We also seem to look fricking clueless at times with what to do with the ball. It’s like these guys act like they have never played with each other before.

It’s time to move on from Poch. It’s inevitable that happens so just do it now and try to salvage what you can.

It’s Les Miles all over again.

I honestly don't think Poch is completely to blame. He is a heck of a manager and we would have a hard time bringing someone in that could have the success he has had. I think a lot of this falls on the players. Dele is a shell of the player he was 2-3 years ago. Eriksen looks to have quit on the club. I don't think a single player on our squad has started the season in good form. Maybe that is from coaching or preparation, but the players should share the blame as well. You shouldn't need a manager to motivate you to beat a league 2 side.

I'm hoping this serves as a wakeup call and they get things figured out. I just want to watch some quality football...is that too much to ask?

Oh yeah, the players shoulder much of the blame, but Pochettino takes his fair share as well. This team hasn’t looked up for it for a long while.

On paper there are a lot of solid players among the squad, but for whatever reason they have been playing like shite as a unit. I imagine a massive squad overhaul is needed. I’ll bet there are players currently in the team that were getting important minutes a couple years ago that are being left out of the side now, and are bringing others down, and should just be moved along to another club. I know they’ve tried and failed to do that with a couple of them, but the status quo certainly isn’t working.

I’m not ready to call for Pochettino to be fired just yet. I think he’s earned a bit of leeway. Hell if this keeps up he might just walk at some point, and you save yourself some money.

Sissoko signs a new deal until 2023.

I don't know what's going on at Spurs, but giving a 30 year old a 4-year contract is pretty weird for Levy. But then again, they screwed up by not giving the Goat a lifetime contract.

Pretty dang happy with the team after today. Couple of really dumb mistakes but great job getting the win. Kane was immense up top and Lamela was the perfect sub. Solid performance overall from everyone (that stayed on the field)

I like that ndombele has two goals and Pepe just has one, and he’s played in two fewer games...and is a defensive midfielder.

Hey Cocks,

You guys suck. As bad as we are, I would still rather be a Gooner than a Cocky Chicken. At least we were once great
