So is this motivation for the real Spain team to come out swinging in Brazil '13 (Confederations)?

Probably not. Spain already won Euro. The Olympics was probably an afterthought for most Spanish fans, and the Euro team and the Olympic team were completely different.

Will any of these guys play with the senior team next year? And is Mata usually so off point? Well, actually he wasn't bad, but every single shot was off by about 2-3 feet. And there were a lot of off shots.

Juan Mata and Jordi Alba are about the only two regular squad players for Spain in this Olympic squad.

Mata and Alba are the only ones. And only Alba is really a starter for Spain. Mata no doubt has a bright future, but he will always have tremendous competition to earn a spot in that midfield. Who knows how much longer guys like Xavi, Xabi and Iniesta have left in the tank (none really look like they are slowing down anytime in the next 2 years), not to mention guys like Cesc, Silva, Navas and Cazorla who are all about the same age as Mata. Plus Muniain, Martinez and Suso who are all younger than Mata are coming through the ranks.
TL;DR: Alba is the only real starter in that squad.

This side could have used Thiago and Canales.
The CBs were a bit dodgey as well.
The Honduran second half was a tragedy for sure, but they should not have been in such a position.
I understand the histrionics of the second half, but it was painful to see.
Good comment on Mata. He certainly wasn't shy about picking up the slack, but his shots were always slightly shy of the mark.

Thiago Alcántara, a 2011 U21 European Cup champion who wasn't present at the Olympics due to injury, has capped with the absolute.

I think Spain is done in major tournaments for awhile.
The established players will lack motivation compared to their opponents, and the up-and-comers don't seem to be made of the same stuff.
