9/11 vs Mexico in Nashville

Hopefully since it's Mexico, we bring as close to an A-team as possible... if that's the case, and assuming everyone is healthy, who would you like to see in the XI?

I'm going 4-2-3-1

Altidore
Green-Pulisic-Nagbe
McKennie-Bradley
Robinson-Brooks-Miazga-Yedlin
Steffen

Nothing against Green but I’d want to see Saeif at LM if he’s 100 by then

Me too, but I just don't know enough about him at this point to slot him in.

I'll think of a starting XI when I get home from dinner, but I'd like to see Reggie Cannon called into camp. Not as a starter, just to get a closer look.

So for the people who are downvoting, at least say why you're downvoting.

Get Tyler Adams in there somehow (bye Bradley) and I’m good with that lineup.

Like it or not Bradley has a role to play at the next gold cup and probably in qualifying too.

Carter-Vickers over Miazga IMO. Noticeable drop when he left v Ireland and Miazga had to be the main man.

I'm am unabashed CCV homer because of his LSU and Baton Rouge ties, but Miazga is better than him right now.

Keep doubting his greatness

Bradley’s role at the next WC better be inspirational vocal leader who only sees the field in a meaningless third game of the group stage or we are in some deep shite.

Start Adams over him against Mexico. You can always bring Bradley in closer to GC if Mckennie/Adams doesn’t work. But Bradley was the heart of a midfield that got overrun multiple times in qualifying against Central American and island competition. He doesn’t deserve an automatic spot in the starting 11, not when there are other options that might be as good.

Right now, Michael Bradley is better than Tyler Adams and it's really not even close... He arguably was the best midfielder in MLS last season.

Being better right now in the MLS is pretty irrelevant IMO. Bradley wilted in key away Qualifying matches, both mentally and physically. He couldn’t handle the pace and physicality of our opponents in their home countries. In 2.5-3 years in the middle of next cycles hex when he’s 33 why will he be any better at that?

Bradley went to the MLS and got soft, he took the easy road. Adams may not be as good now, but he’s the future. He’s way more athletic, and way hungrier. He’s going overseas to make a name for himself. Bradley can be a break in case of emergency if the youth struggles, but the USMNT is better served going forward by blooding Adams/Mckennie/Parks/Pulisic. That’s our midfield 4 for the next three WC’s if things break right.

You don't know that... and even if you are playing for 2022, you don't just start playing the guys that you think will be relevant by that time. I guarantee you that there is a player right now that will be on the plane for Qatar that we don't even know exists right now.

Kind of is relevant when both play in MLS right now.

Look, will Adams be better than Bradley? Maybe. Is he better than Bradley right now? Nope.

And until he is better than him, he shouldn't be getting caps over Bradley in meaningful games.

There are no meaningful games until next years GC. And even then not really. It’s 100% about this upcoming hex. Bradley was fricking atrocious when it mattered, when you need his position to be dominant he was non-existent, and he’s only going to be slower and less impactful this go round.

We just suffered the worst result in the history of our program and we’re just gonna run it back? frick Bradley and his MLS loving arse. He started a trend that made the NT soft as shite. Go play in a weaker league in your prime and exert yourself less but get paid way more.

And no being valuable for your MLS team is not the same as being valuable for the national team. Called the Wondolowski Fallacy. Adams was an incredibly disruptive force and impactful presence in 1-1 draws against Portugal and France this past year. Bradley couldn’t assert himself against T&T and Costa Rica

Yep, lets throw out Pulisic, too then.

Going to go out on a limb and guess that you hated Bradley before all of this.
