There are players in sports that are distractions off the field guys but are good teammates/ well liked in the locker room
He is inconsistent right now but normally in big games he is the man. He scares me almost as much as a Man utd as Drogba.

I wouldn't want him on my team, but damn he is entertaining. He's just hard to hate, and he makes it even harder when he does incredible things on the pitch. The second goal against Germany at Euro 2012 was absolutely phenomenal. As long as he plays for teams that I don't care about I will continue to root for him. If I were a city fan, I'd probably view him as a cancer to the team.

I'm on the anti-Balotelli wagon. Don't like the guy or his shenanigans (yeah I said, shenanigans, wanna fight about it). He's a shite teammate and not worth the trouble. The worst thing he has done is convince this board that his dumb arse antics = swag

Can you give me an example of him being a shite teammate? Or any proof that he is a "cancer" in the locker room? I'd imagine most on the squad like him. He's just immature.

there you go, but you'll probably just call it immaturity. mario balotelli is a professional soccer player. he gets paid to do his job and do it seriously. not only is he a liability on the field, he is a distraction off of it. you probably won't find other players in the squad complaining about it, because they are also professional soccer players and are being paid to do their jobs.
it doesn't make one bit of difference if he is a kid or not. he is being paid a grown mans wage to do a grown mans job. when you are constantly having to worry about what your teammate will be doing next, either on or off the field, he is being a shite teammate.
