Can we start raising/breeding a kid to do this for the future?

A little diving frick that lives offsides and can run a legit 4.2. Sneaky, quick, irritating, deadly. We can let him live with Inzaghi during the summer, and we'll show him nothing but Van Nistelrooy highlights until he hits puberty.

My son is 20 months old. I have him practicing already.

Positives: Danny Williams is a true winger and works well in space. Cherundolo was solid as always. Good bits of individual skill from Dempsey. Bradley played well in the second half. And most of all, Onyewu looked very solid today. Almost like he did back when he was in Belgium. This Sporting move is going to pay off. And Orozco Fiscal wasn't even on the bench. Thank God. Hopefully the fascination with him and Castillo is over.

Negatives: Tim Ream. Aguedelo, Jozy, and Buddle did very little. There needs to be better incorporation of the forwards. Spector looked really shaky. Beckerman wasn't very good, and he is becoming an inexplicable choice of Klinsman's in every match.

Bring on John, Mix, and Gonzalez. It's not like there are great talents ahead of them.

Is there any other guys you think Klinsman needs to incorporate?

Oh, yes. He really enjoys watching Soccer and Horse Racing. He claps everytime he sees it on TV. He also has a little soccer ball that he would just throw and now he kicks it. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

Best he has looked since The Confederations Cup.

We need some creativity in CM and I think Mix should be called up. Jozy is the best we have now. Maybe Josh Gatt or someone else gets a call-up. Ream was awful.

How about that Tim Ream, huh?

This loss seems bad b/c of the recent results, but Ecuador's not a bad team right now.

At least we're not losing with Bornstein.

Danny Williams is not a true winger but he did well today. I'd like to see him in the middle of the field instead of Beckerman. Edu was awful, Bradley was much better. We're bad right now.

Just finished watching. Scoring does seem to be a big problem at the moment.

I don't think we are bad. We are just not creating enough legit opportunities. By dominating possession for much of the first half, we got in stale attacks that were predictable for the most part.

I'm not sure what the solution is, unfortunately. We can't just rely on individual brilliance for each goal.

I'd rather win with Bornstein and Ricardo Clark (which we did a lot in the last cycle) than look good and lose.

Over and over and over again.

Meh, if this was a real game we wouldn't have lost because Tim Ream would never have seen the field.

Brek Shea was good, as was Onyewu. Those are positives.

Klinsmann is making some bad personnel decisions. Why was Bradley playing on the right. Why doesn't he play Danny Williams centrally? Why does Edu keep starting? Why hasn't he called in George John or Mix?

On the competition for places in midfield:
"The decision to not start Michael right away is simply that Maurice Edu is doing really well in that position. If you follow these last couple of games we played, we've discovered a player like Kyle Beckerman who is just doing a fantastic job for this team. He's somebody who cleans up, he's everywhere, he's aggressive and he wins so many balls back. We don't want to have him out of the team and I know it's kind of frustrating for Michael to not start the game. The fight in midfield will really heat up with Landon coming back, Jose Torres coming back, we want to see Fabian Johnson too…We’ve got interesting situations and for me as a coach these are very good options to have."

Having watched Williams for about 30 minutes on Saturday and never before, I was impressed with him on the right. If he's even better centrally, then he is a hell of a player.

This is terrible.

Williams is a really good young player. He's one of the most steady players in Hoffenheim's lineup. He was good on the right, but I'd like to see him in the center of the field where Beckerman or Edu was. That's more of his role. Fabian Johnson is a guy I'd like to see on the right.

Coming home from last night I was on the train below the Hudson surrounded by tons of Ecuadorians going to the game (The train went to Harrison after Jersey City).

Will we ever develop a striker who can finish?
