Its time for the 3 lions to finally live up to the hype. This is the last tourny for this core group of players, who are now on their 5th competition together going back to euro 2004

For all my DC area soccer board mates, i will be at summers in arlington tomorrow for the game with my super frankie lampard jersey. Its my last day in the states before i go back to germany so going out with a bang

I was wearing a German jersey yesterday and this English woman came up and started talking to me. She told me that she hates Germany because they own England.

England will live up to the hype because we dont have any, get out of the group stages and everything will be ok.
I keep seeing that Downing is set to start, i was one of the few who liked his inclusion in the squad, because he'd be a good squad player who can add something different..from the bench.
I dont get Roys apparet hate for Walcott, I understand playing Milner on one wing to help cover Ribery but you need Walcotts pace in that line up.
I'd personnally pick Carroll over Wellbeck, dont really rate his ability as a lone striker and Mexes/Rami will be able o cope with him much better than Carrolls physical presence.
I think its 2-1 but not sure what team to...so that obviously means it will end up being a boring 0-0

Also not many English fans are going, our supporting army that go everywhere are multicultural the ethnics dont want to go and get their heas kicked in, and eastern europeans still seem to always feel like our hooligans are still top dogs and that English fans are gthe ones to beat, even though hooliganism is on the way out in England, so even more cant be bothered with that danger aswell.

everywhere english national team or club teams go the country they are in fans always feel like they have something to prove but if england make it to the group stage maybe then the flood gates open

The lackthereof hype is what I think actually propels England past the group stages. Who the hell expects anything out of a team that may feature Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll?
