Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez could face a jail sentence after being arrested for driving while DQ'd.

Tevez and cop cars don't get along.

Disqualified?

I mean in the context I assume it just means he was drunk or high, I'm just not sure what DQ stands for.

Brit speak for driving with a suspended license. Apparently Tevez got into some trouble a couple months ago with the law.

Take your pick: ESPNFC, Daily Mail, The Guardian, BBC, Yahoo!, The Independent, Sky Sports, Bleacher Report (lulz)...

Here, I'll use the BBC...

quote:

Manchester City footballer Carlos Tevez has been arrested in Cheshire on suspicion of driving while disqualified, the BBC understands.

Tevez, 29, of Alderley Edge, Cheshire, was held on Thursday at about 17:10 GMT on the A538 in Macclesfield.

He has since been released on police bail.

The Argentine striker was banned from driving for six months in January after failing to respond to police letters about speeding.

Max punishment for this is six months in the slammer and a fine.

They should just sentence Tevez to have to continue living in Manchester and that should suffice.

RM's Marcelo is staring at the same damned situation right now. I believe he was sentenced to a €6,000 fine, and is without a license for 25 months (yeah, one month more than two years. pretty weird).

These South Americans.

He should have borrowed Mario's Bentley. They never would have seen him.
