10 days ago, I think he's got to wait until the supplemental draft.

Good enough for me. I will keep Cech as the backup. No reason Hart should not play.

You can name a vice captain as well. Probably would not hurt based on week 1.

Yep, you missed a sitter. But I'll take the point, thanks!

Hey, i'm just mad that I was the second (should have been third if you had made a captain) highest scorer of the week and didn't win. I hate that.

Also...

ADD - Saido Berahino - FWD - West Brom
DROP - Peter Crouch - FWD - Stoke

Sorry, originlally posted outside of the 8am opening of the window and edited and then re-edited to add it at 8am - which is weird to me - if its consequetive days, shouldn't it be allowed 24 hours a day once it opens at 8am the first day?

Have already updated my line-up....

I did have a question about how the subs work - do I assume correctly that in the event that, lets say this week I run a 3-4-3 and my first sub is a midfielder - if a defender does NOT play, then I can't use any subs at all (since replacing a defender would make it a bad formation)? Or would it go to sub 2.

Example:

DEF - Lovren
DEF - Johnson
DEF - Skrytel

Sub 1. - Gerrard
Sub 2. Terry

If Johnson doesn't play, and Gerrard can't sub for him or else its an illegal formation, does it4 just end there? Or does Sub 2 come in for Johnson?

Or am I only able to use sub 2 if sub 1 is used elsewehere first?

I'm just trhying to think through some of my sub ramifcations - for instance, if I use a 3-4-3, I better make my first sub a defender at all times, right?

You would go to sub 2 in that case. Basically you plug in sub 1 if it keeps a legit lineup, if not go to sub 2, 3, etc.

It is 24 hours on Thursday in most cases. A typical week has games on Saturday-Monday. The transfer window opens at 8 AM Central and stays open continuously until Friday night at 11:59 PM.

The formation does not matter as long as it is legal. You post a 4-3-3 and sub in guys to make it a 4-4-2. All three subs are eligible to play in the order they listed. The rules in the OP should do a good job of explaining it.

If you start three defenders and one does not play, then that defender can only be replaced by a defender (since every formation needs any combo of 3-5 DEF, 3-5 MID, 1-3 FWD). If a forward also does not play in your 3-4-3, then he can be replaced by any eligible sub.

Sub 1 should always be used first if possible. If Sub 1 cannot be used, then go to Sub 2. Same for Sub 3. All three subs can be used if needed. The goalie is automatically subbed in.

** PS - because of the debacle last year, 'edited transaction requests' are not acceptable. It must be a new post with 8:00am timestamp or later ***

If your post stamps at 758 or 759 then gotta do a whole new one and whoever's 8:00 post that is listed first in the thread wins !

Sorry, this is due to my frick up last year and ensuing confusion/controversy.

Also:
Drop: NZogbia
Add: Mario Balotelli, Liverpool

j/j and frick you Vicks you're going to get Balotelli (unless someone loses a player)

Yeah, transactions cannot be edited posts.

However, I will let that one slide because he only made the edit because he thought the window was closed until 8:00 on Thursday, but it was already open.

Smart move. I hope he stays in the Prem.

I thought both Kagawa and Cech had a chance to leave, so that could have bolstered my status. I really should have kept Nastasic if he goes to Roma or wherever. This only applies for drafted players. Otherwise, you could just scoop guys who are already backing their bags and steal a guy like Balotelli (or Ozil last year).

Also, I am thinking this is a bit of a flaw in the rules, so I think you might have to lose one of your top 5 draft picks to get bumped to the top of the supplemental draft.

Of course, we would have to discuss this in the offseason. For the winter draft, maybe the player has to be top 5 or something at his position. I do not know.

I wanted a higher pick so I could get one of the elite strikers.
