I'm gonna go ahead and start making a schedule, 38 gameweeks in the PL counting a new week for Boxing Day matches when everyone plays and also other midweek days where every team plays, so 36 regular season games and then 2 weeks will be playoffs. Everyone plays each other 4 times.

Last year, we just did a 36 week season. The two weeks at the end were a separate cup or whatever. We did not do a playoff in the spirit of European football, but you are more than welcome to do so.
The playoff should not affect promotion.

When making the schedule, I assume we are playing by the Fantasy EPL site's game weeks? For instance, Chelsea play 2 in gameweek 1.

Playoff for 3rd place we were thinking, like the Sky Bet Championship.
and Bho, yeah I looked at the Fantasy EPL Gameweeks. CFC do play twice in gameweek 1, and there are 2 gameweeks in one 7-day week a couple times in the winter.

You follow the EPL fantasy site game week.
It all evens out by the end. It is smart to captain and start all Chelsea guys in week 1. You get points from both games.
