I made an executive decision to make a selection early as everyone in front of me needs a keeper.

I select Sylvian Distin Everton

I'd like to have someone answer my substitution question that is the first post on previous page.

quote:

I have no say but if I did, I would make us order the subs each week. If you have a player not play and sub #1 can be inserted and the formation still be good, then sub #1 comes in, if not go to #2, and so for. So if you have a 3-4-3 formation, with a FWD at sub #1, a mid at #2, and a DEF at #3 and one of your 3 defenders don't play, you can't substitute #1 or #2. Or if a MID doesn't play, you can't sub in another FWD and have four FWDs, so you'd have to sub in #2, the MID.

But I'm going with WSE answer:

quote:

We did it where if your starter didn't play, a non-starter in that position was automatically subbed in his place.

For example, if I started Negredo and van Wolfswinkel...and Negredo didn't play, Jelavic would take his place when we added up scores. If Jelavic didn't play either, Graham would take the spot.

If one of your starters and all non-starters in a position don't play, you get a zero.

ETA: Say you have four forwards and start three. The extra forward can only count if one of your starters don't play.

If you have six midfielders and start four...and one doesn't play, the sub you list first in your roster counts. If he doesn't play, then the second sub plays.

So since the draft is done and we have a week till the first game (and because I'm bored), who do you think drafted the best team (other than yourself)?

I think svb or PTBob did, both have solid teams capable of racking up the points.

I like PTs team a lot more than mine.

I also think 225 has a excellent squad provided Jozy has at least an ok year.

I'm just fortunate there's no third league to be relegated to.

This.

I went out a limb in my early picks. This was the first h2h league for EPL I have ever done so I will chalk it up to a learning experience.

I think SVB, Bho and 225 have strong squads looking at things in hindsight.

This was my first draft or anything fantasy related regarding soccer. I think my team is balanced, I hope Wilshere stays healthy and Lampard gets good minutes, he also racks up the PK's,
SVB and Bho have strong ones also. SVB has the best logo for sure .

Who did kilo and AZ take with their last picks? They aren't on the spreadsheet.

You do realize he was suspended anyways so it probably won't change things?

WEll, just a game or two right?

He's out with a hammy injury now, so that will probably keep him out another few weeks beyond that.

It was listed on the site as an unknown return. I don't know, but even so, you aren't going to miss a ton of points. Everyone is going to have injured players and if it was me, I'd rather it be a defender than a striker. If you are banking on your team's success on Rafael then you are fighting an uphill battle already.

Well, to a certain extent, you are expecting some bigger points out of strikers, but a defender who plays 90 almost every game, a decent amount of clean sheets, and adds some to the offense will also be a solid base of points every match.

I'm not counting on big points from him, but the cumulative effect of several defenders playing and having some offense ever once in awhile.
