None were really that malicious were they? I hate that reasoning for giving a card

To get a yellow on accumulation you have to be warned first usually. I guess just when he punched the ground is when he was warned. Which he shouldn't have been anyway, since he was the one who got fouled and punching the ground is perfectly legal.

I've never minded it. Similar to fouling out in basketball. Probably would have waited for one or two more though.

This is the most balanced, attacking Italy side I've seen in a long time.

Spain starting out slow is nothing new ESPN analysts. They won a World Cup with a bunch of pedestrian 1-0 results.

Italy were the better side that half by a good margin. Pirlo could be the difference

Yeah. People are making too much out of Spain's slow start but I think there are reasons to be concerned.

No width and no depth. I don't think this formation will win them a Euro.

Even when Spain would start slow they would look dominant.

They haven't looked dominant. That's the difference.

Pedro or Jesus Navas would be better fixes than any of the strikers.

I agree. Italy is playing 3 in the back, although it's more like 5 when they're defending. They need to try to pull some of those defenders out of the box.

I don't know what happened to Pedro (has he even played much for Barcelona lately?) but bringing him on wouldn't be a bad idea. At least he would give some width on the right.

Of course that would mean they only had like 5 of the world's best playmakers out there but sometimes you have to make sacrifices.
