1. Moderate, quality trolling should be permitted.

2. Agree.

3. Agree to an extent. I think that many will interpret this to mean, "I don't agree with it. Must complain about how 'bad' a thread is."

4. Season long threads should be limited to Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea. There are too many of those fans here for those threads to not exist.

Have to include the rest of the Big Six. Even though they don't get the action of those mentioned above, they are important to the fans of the clubs.

Yeah, I wasn't dead set on just those three, though I didn't adequately convey that. As long as a season long thread is keeping things that most people don't care about off of the board, it has worth.

But, for example, the Americans abroad thread is kind of dumb, as 99% (I see you, GMorgan) of the people viewing the board are interested in that.

A proper Gent if you ask me and i'm not talking Centenary. We are above the other boards. I have learned maturity and personal growth through the soccer board. Ask any admin of my light days on the SEC rant or tiger rant. Great step in the right direction. If we can all follow, great things will happen

If there is enough legitimate discussion to keep a season long club thread on the first page without bumping it, who cares?

I agree on the topics like the Americans thread, that's not a small portion of the board, just make a new post

The problem with this whole thread is it has good ideas, but until we have a mod that is on this board everyday, we are just pissing in the wind.

That's the message of the OP. We all can be mods and be better posters. He addressed the real problem

I know what the message is, it was discussed by us at length during FIFA today.

Why not? if you sh*t, then no one respond. If your a big troll, no one respond. If you dont have a love and a passion for soccer, then why are you hear? It will all take care of itself. However, I would like to propose that everytime Ivanovic scores, I get at least one trolling, idiotic post due to the lack of effort on the other teams part to keep that sexy Serbian from scoring lol.

I like the Bayern thread because we can post shite that isn't quite important enough for a new thread and we can just go back and check it every now and then.

The fans of the club do. Just because there aren't as many City or United fans on here posting all the time doesn't mean that the threads aren't important.

Seriously, if I started a thread for every United thought I had in my head, you all would kill me.

I think where we are at right now on season long threads is fine. There are plenty active ones. I see no problem with Man Utd, and Bayern Munich.

We just don't need them for Anzhi Makhachkala, Cittadella, or IFK Norrköping. Or any of the others that people started as basically a joke back in June.

AND for things that everyone on the board is interested in, such as the americans abroad thread.

Just start a new topic if you have enough to warrant interest in it, but the point of season long one team threads is to consolidate everything about that team in one thread so everyone who doesn't care about that team can ignore that thread and keep going, i.e. only useful for a minority group.

...like the Leeds Thread.

Seriously, if we knocked off "Season Long" from the beginning of some of these threads, I think people would have no problem with them.

I must really limit myself to the threads I read. Is the up-tick in trolling coming from some of the season-long threads?

We know what they're for. I've been an advocate for them, but they're getting out of control. There is no reason to have as many as we do. Every other new thread started seems to be a "season long" one.
