Welcome back.....Go Stoke. It really was a good performance. That was how we should look every game against inferior competition.

It was a good show save for the back four shitshow on the Ruiz goal.
We also should have scored at least three more. But we're in the Hex. Let's get this show on the road.

Outside of the central defenders (and Howard), I thought the team looked really good with their passing, lack of turnovers, and measured play.
I don't know why Bocanegra and Cameron kept getting fooled by Ruiz in the first half. They looked completely dumb-founded, and we need to work on that. A guy like Lil Pea could have gotten 2-3 goals against that defense

I just think Bocanegra is too slow backtracking these days. I don't trust him at all when we're playing a high line. I know he's our captain, but if Jozy is going to be held accountable for his poor national team form, Boca needs to have the same treatment.
Granted they looked much better in the second half. Cherundolo is still our best defender.

Cameron hasnt had all that much experience as a cb, it's only natural to have growing pains.
No idea what captain America's excuse is, unless he was expecting Cameron to drop back

Same problems since the last world cup cycle.
JK has made this WCQ cycle a lot harder than it should be. I agree we aren't the best. However, starting three CDMs (Edu, Beckerman, Jones) in the same game, making a back line of Boca on the wing, not replacing injured players/wasting roster spots and not creating depth. Are all mismanagements. IMO. I think Klinsmann has the potential, but I don't understand some of his moves at all. It's like he is trying to shoot himself in the foot.
Good win though.
ETA: Thenry already knows that is it the same problems as last.

CONCACAF is meeting Thursday to set the match-ups for the Hexagonal. Dates are already set.
How do they go about doing this? Is it a draw? Do they negotiate their places? How much money do we have to spend to get to play Mexico in February in the dead of winter?

We should play it in the Northeast as pay back for all those games at Azteca. Chicago also wouldnt be bad so the fans can throw ice balls at those bastards.

Nah way too many Mexicans in Chicago; see Gold Cup Final 2007.
USA should always play Mexico in Columbus. It is hell on Earth for the Mexicans.

Danny Williams a quietly spectacular game according to the OPTA chalk board LINK
82 passes complete at 92% accuracy (most on the team)
3 Tackles and 2 interceptions
Danny Williams is better than Jermaine Jones. Period
Bradley also had a fantastic game statistically, but anyone gauging this match subjectively could see that.
