Another example:
How much f’ing time does VAR take up?!
Is that driving people away from the game.
It waste a shat ton more time and money than kneeling.
But let’s spend our time crying about all the racist a few seconds of kneeling is driving away from the sport.
On no.

I just looked it up.
EPL viewership has gone up each year since they started kneeling for racism.
Actually it’s gone up each year since they implemented VAR also.
Actually I didn’t look it up because it is obvious and I’m not a dumbas racist.
But feel free to double check.
And I’m not calling you a dumbass racist. I’m just calling anyone that gets so butt hurt and will argue over of a couple seconds of a message to end racism a dumbass racist.

I don’t get racist.
No pride.
too afraid to admit who they really are.
Come out of the closet already. .
Why attack antiracism with all kinds of lame excuses and fake like you’re not racist.
And if you’re not racist. Why would you be against anti-racism?

So the black players that have said its meaningless and refused to participate are racist?
You're an idiot.

Good? So you admit that you don’t really care about ending racism. You are ok with driving people away from a sport that inherently sends a positive message (without needing some retarded PSA) by showing players of all races playing together. You can’t change anything by just telling people while they are watching a sporting event “don’t be racist” and you are naive as hell if you think you can.
“It’s just a few seconds.” Yeah, and it’s just a little turd in your big bowl of cereal, so you just need to scarf it all down.

We get it pal, you're not racist. Here's your virtue...

I’m thinking the kids raised to be racist. And possibly seeing their hero (Haaland or whoever) showing publicly that he is against racism and that kid potentially thinking…
Maybe I don’t have to be racist.
Even if that chance is very very slim.
It’s greater than zero.
And it cost nothing and doesn’t take up any time.
No you see these meaningless displays are a major social problem, much more than silly things like trade wars or due process for the accused.

I remember when they first started Ivan Toney had a look like WTF is this bullshite and just stood there waiting to kick the ball.

Not trying to be virtuous.
It just annoys the crap out of me how people can’t think on their own anymore.
You have majority of people on 2 sides.
Few can think on their own.
One side says mentioning racism. Don’t even mention anti-racism. Any messaging to do with it is pointless bad and not helping.
And people that claim to not be racist eat it up.
Just because they happen to identity with that side.
And making crap up like “it’s driving people away from the game”.
Really.
A few seconds while you’re probably still in line for a beer is driving people away?
Meanwhile viewership is up
it is only driving away racist. If they want to believe they are one or not.
So far I haven’t heard any original thought or reason on why people don’t want to hear that racism is still ongoing and we need to stop it and we should try anything to stop it.
If it’s a free option and doesn’t affect the outflow of a game. Even better.
Yet all I hear is what I hear politics with an ideology say for votes of racist.
And it’s parroted down the line to every aspect of life. Including sports.
Think on your own people.

If anything, this turns more people away from the message and to resent those pushing it on them, because the message itself implies that the reader may be racist.
Is the OT lounge implying everyone on here is trans or female teachers that molest kids. Because that is the majority of the topics on there.
No wonder people don’t read books. Think of the implications.

It’s like starting a post bitching there is an American flag on a pole on someone’s lawn or in front of another building.
“Oh man look at this guy virtue signaling with his meaningless symbolism we need to get the HOA on this now“.
Do people stop shopping at stores with American flags?
Does seeing an American flag imply the viewer is unpatriotic?
Did yall people think all this dumb shite up on your own?

bro, you are posting to yourself
we get it
frankly I think the whole thing from the EPL side is a joke but the English can do whatever they want, it's their League
is this kneeling thing going to turn off English fans of English Football Teams? probably not, but it gives them something else to bitch about
we saw the same thing in the NFL but they got rid of the kneeling and painting #ENDRACISM on the fields

You said earlier that it is good because it will change some racists' minds...now it is only for driving them away? So what is the fricking point then? Just to have some "Look at me. I'm NOT racist" circle jerk at a sporting event that has nothing to do with racism? Because that's all it is.

I realize I am not going to change a racist mind.
I realize I am not going to convince some who claims not be racist. But is so against ending racism, that they will post about why we don’t need seconds of anti-rasicm messaging, believe they are actually racist and just don’t want to admit it.
But in my opinion remaining silent is equal to saying:
Racism is ok and we need to stop trying to convince people otherwise. Even ifs only seconds at a time.
I realize few people formulate their own opinions now (online is constantly people asking what other people think of this or that so they can then use that persons opinion as their own).

They need to attach this onto every kit!

You don't get it. Bill Burr has a bit on all the breast cancer awareness stuff that goes on in the NFL and other sports in the fall. He hates it. But that doesn't at all mean he wants women to die of breast cancer. But by your logic, he must want women to get breast cancer. You don't make any sense and once again, you are just saying things to make yourself feel good about what you are saying, and haven't put any thought into it at all.

This is in reference to your claim that it is driving people away.
I responded if it is. It only driving away racist.
So I am admitting that you may possibly be right on this point.
That it may be driving people away.
That’s what is nice about thinking on your own.
You can agree on something’s. And disagree on others. Each individual has the power to make that decision on their own.

Not trying to be virtuous.
I admit I have heard this word but didn’t know actual meaning.
I would say I am not trying to be virtuous I am just trying to tell people they need to not be racist and if you are not racist stop being against anti-racism
I think argueing against anti-racism empowers the racist. “Look this dude agrees with me anti-racism needs to end”
If you are racist. F’ U.
quote:
A virtue (Latin: virtus) is a trait of excellence, including traits that may be moral, social, or intellectual. The cultivation and refinement of virtue is held to be the "good of humanity" and thus is valued as an end purpose of life or a foundational principle of being
I do not think I am excellent in anything (except maybe being annoying).
I would say I am moral.
I would not say I am particularly social.
I am definitely not intellectual.
I am not cultivating anything but a garden.
I’m not refining anything but whiskey.
I do agree ending racism is “good of humanity”
I would not saying ending racism is valued as an end purpose of life.
I would say ending hate would be a good one.
I would say not being racist is a foundational principle of being so ending racism is a good message that I will argue for.

Thank you for sharing the video.
He does bring up a good point about wanting to watch sports as an escape and to just relax. And not hear a message or someone’s agenda
I actually watched the video.
It would be annoying if they stopped a soccer game in middle of a play for the kneeling.
But if they did I would just use it as a piss break. I wouldnt argue with people on why we don’t need anti-racism messaging
I would also argue it is not the same thing.
I am not aware of fans at sporting events harassing women with breast cancer.
I do not know anyone that yells hate at women with breast cancer at sporting events. Or harass women’s families online over breast cancer during sporting events.
But fans sing racist chants at sporting events
Fans yell racist hate at players.
Fans harass players and family online during sporting events.
Did people hate on Boston Strong messaging after the Boston bombing. That was everywhere.

Those yard signs annoy the crap out of me.
I never see them in my neighborhood.
Only see them in some rich all white neighborhood.
They call their kids inside when a stranger is just walking on the public sidewalk to work.
But do I think they need to get rid of them. No. I think they need to read it and practice it if it’s what they believe.
Will I start a thread and argue with people on how we don’t need those signs or they are implying I’m racist anti woman anti scientist who hates love.
No
I just ignore it and enjoy the flowers in the yard.
