well yeah most of our teams in every sport are in leagues where being a billionaire is now basically a requirement. If it’s not, people don’t give a shite about the league. When billionaires’ teams lose, they’re still billionaires.

Even if that were true, it’s better than constant crying about the mean big boys from the manc.

I dont even understand how it would work logistically, if this is meant to replace the current champions league format... you would have a domestic league and a European one?

No sir, I dont like it..

This IG post sums it up well
LINK

It would basically take away those 18 teams from the UCL, which would hurt the UCL.
Also this one has included Spurs in their group of teams from England, when original posts said it would only be 5 teams

Not sure why certain teams would be included (Spurs, City, etc).. Shouldn't you have to have won UCL at least once to be included in a European elite tournament???

That’s why this is causing issues
It’s not based on recent merit, just on money.

I was really just kidding with that last statement...

I personally think the European format should stay the same...

Yeah - I mean..most American owners bought their teams as investments. I can see why they want to protect that investment. No benefit in them being relegated or not qualifying for Europe..

Obviously, supporters dont care about that... I don't really agree with them imposing their will on the European game, just for their financial reasons..

Not sure how many EPL clubs, outside of London, could have owners that simply own a club for the love of it + have enough £ to pump into it, to keep it highly competitive.. Im sure the same goes for other European leagues..
