American sports fans would never irrationally hate a guy for picking a team they didn't want him to. #LeBronJames

ROSSI'S BETRAYAL OF THE US NATIONAL TEAM IS WORSE THAN THE TIME SGT. SLAUGHTER BECAME AN IRAQ SUPPORTER DURING THE GULF WAR!

BUT THE HULKSTER PUT HIM IN PLACE!

IN THE LAST YEAR, AMERICAN JESUS HAS PUT GIUSEPPE ROSSI IN HIS PLACE, BROTHERJACKDUDE!

I said frick you half wit.

Why don't you go back to some other board instead of coming on to the one decent board on this forum with your halfwitted, redneck banter?

My list of people who deserve this sort of pain, bad luck, and possibly hepatitis are the god damned Commies, the terrorists who took down them towers and made American icon Toby Keith learn 'em a lesson or two about frickin' with us, and Giuseppe Rossi.

May this majestic, powerful bald eagle in flight be a message to all who may oppose or sell out America, the land of the free and the home of the brave.

I believe most people on this board are of the consensus that Rossi sucks dick, and his ACL tear was nothing more than karmic justice. Especially due to his showboating in the Confed Cup. I'm sorry your upset bc one of your beloved "italians" is getting bashed

In case it wasn't already abundantly clear, I was referring to your comment that anyone who supports Rossi "should GTFO of America."

You do realize how ignorant that makes you sound don't you?

Well teams that win trophies,

1. Don't cry when somebody leaves, they find a replacement.

2. Don't wish players get hurt.

Got a long way to go, the insecurities of you guys are perfectly obvious.

Go to the nearest clinic and get tested because I think you have a major case of bitch in your blood. Then again, with the whole Petrino thing, you may be a little sensitive right now to injuries and career trouble. You have a little room to be a whiny little woman.

Overall, though, this whole "We have a long way to go" thing is retarded. I'm a bit tired of American fans of the sport thinking for some reason that its this chivalrous sport of knights where we should all smoke pipes and speak scholarly and respectful. Do we forget how tame we really are over a sport that causes riots, murders, gangfights, and is played by mostly poor people? It is because of this violence and aggression that we, the American people, one nation, under Clint Demspey, indivisible, can take joy out of the suffering of a traitorous douchebag.

Don't you read the liverpool season long thread, henderson? Suarez is innocent and has never spoken ill of another player.

Some of the rhetoric in the pro-America threads gets pretty ridiculous. I didn't appreciate the way Rossi celebrated his goal against us many years ago, but I don't wish ill upon him. That, for me, is wasted energy which could be spent on something more positive.

Is positivity now only associated with hippies? What benefit do I get from such sophomoric fits of jingo?

If anything, the world of soccer is one where nationality is fluid to a significant degree. Following the line of logic promoted here, we shoudn't play any of the German-American players. Should Deco not be allowed in Brazil because he decided to play for Portugal? It's rather ridiculous to critcise Rossi, who moved away from America to train at Parma's academy at 12, and not have equal levels of vitrol directed at Neven Subotic, who chose not to represent America for what amounts to a petty reason, or Ibisevic, who spent his teens here, or Brede Haangeland, who was born in America. A big part of the international game is dealing with players who possess multiple nationalities, which is a product of our globalized world. Rather than insisting on insulting Rossi, which doesn't do any good whatsoever, why doesn't the conversation focus on what the USSF can do better to attract talent that can play for us?
