It's not his fault that Man U paid that much. They knew what type of player he was. He's not going to get those numbers at all. He doesn't really score goals nor does he assist goals that often. It doesn't mean he can't play well.

He's played really well this season actually. His role should be the deepest of a midfield three which also gives him the ability to move forward. That he will be shunted further forward to justify his price tag as Mourinho gets more desperate isn't Pogba's fault.

But, Juventus last year is a far superior side to ManU this year. He had much better players around him. Those numbers make sense.

ETA: Pogba played a very good match today. He was the best player on the pitch.

I've watched two United matches, the two against city and he was literally invisible for both.

Aleix Garcia had more of an influence in the cup match than he did.

Regardless, like others have said it isn't his fault United spent that much. I don't think his skill set/role should ever be something that is valued as high as United paid.
