You really should go play a game some time. Most of these guys do an amazing job of staying on their feet through contact.

shite that is called a foul in basketball is just good defending in soccer.

People seem to think getting kicked in the shin while running full speed, or getting studs to the top of your foot somehow doesn't hurt. I imagine these are the same people who act like they've been shot when they stub their toe on the couch.

Yeah, sometimes acting tough in soccer can be to your detriment.

To rub it in, I had our team switch to their orange jerseys right before kick off (instead of gray, Mexico was wearing black).

FIFA officially declared:

"The replay clearly shows that there is no lack of Rafael Márquez, Mexican defender was booked. At other times these errors have been overlooked, but recent evidence presented shows that the personal motivations would hissing Bookmarking criminal ". He said FIFA spokesman to the dismay of the press and public that was around.

Just Mexicans being idiots. FIFA could say that the call missed on Robben in the first half directly changed the game. Nothing will come of this.

Yea, some of it is ridiculous. I personally hate how soccer players act like they been shot in the face every time a stuff wind blows on their nose, but like someone else said, of you don't 'act' sometimes, the ref will miss the call and it hurts your team.

In just saying that 'going down on light contact' isn't always that. Sometimes what looks like light contact is actually painful as hell.
