I'm pretty knowledgeable about futbol, but even I can't tell where Ibra might end up. What do you guys think?

Usually a guy is fit for a few teams, but seriously, he could go anywhere.
I have this weird feeling an MLS team might try a Beckham deal for him. (if possible, i know they have a cap)

No idea what the MLS order/rules for him coming but I'd guess he'd want to be in NY or LA if he came here. His personality doesn't seem like he'd want to be in Atlanta. This isn't meant as a dig on Atlanta, but I just see him being more of an international city type guy. Zlatan in SEC country would be great though.... Would make a great reality show.

I fear that the MLS will have a hard time shaking the retirement league label. Europeans love to come play in America after their careers wind down in the top leagues. And from what I've heard, it is a plan that is forming in these players' minds in their early twenties.

More like rent him for a year. He has one good one left. Ibra isn't going anyplace without Champions League for his last hurrah. If he goes to the EPL it will be to Arsenal or Tottenham, who are both almost guaranteed top 4. Plus, it will be in London.

Yeah, but more DPs nowadays are players in their prime like Giovinco. Lot of younger South Americans getting big contracts, too.
It's not like only old guys want to come play here. But it doesn't help that some of the biggest clubs (LA and NYCFC, specifically) continue to load up on that type.

Central Americans too. The domestic situations with relatives being kidnapped and held for ransom. Being anonymous and having your kids go to good schools. It is a no brainer if you are just not quite good enough for the big 5 in Europe.

The slow crawl MLS has made is the right move. TV money is going to get bigger and bigger. The game is almost ready to really take off here. In some markets it already has.

It's just going to take time, and the explosion of expansion is a good-sized gamble the league. (Although they're talking about getting rid of the expansion draft, which would help the existing franchises keep momentum.)

He did leave a qualifier that he could be back at PSG next year, I could see one more year in France ahead of his MLS move.
