Surely they're going to play him in GC if he files the paperwork. That'd be pretty scummy of Bruce.
I have to assume we've already told him something along those lines because just two weeks ago, there were reports that he was leaning Mexico.

I guess I need some clarification. If he's an American citizen and has never been capped for the Mexican senior team, why did he have to file the one time switch?

Ya I know, it's just confusing because we always talk about cap tying CCV so he doesn't go to England. I assume if CCV ever got an England call up he'd have to file paperwork too?

I don't know why y'all always talk about it. It will never happen.

As I understand it, if you played in a FIFA-sanctioned event for a youth team, you can still play for a different country's full national team. But to do that, even if it is for a friendly, you have to file a one-time switch to FIFA which automatically ties you to the country of choice.
Since Baton Rouge's favorite son Cameron Carter-Vickers has played in multiple youth World Cup for the USMNT, if he were to play for England (he could play for France as well), he'd have to file a one-time switch.

Arena said it's unlikely that Pulisic will be called up for any of the Gold Cup.

Yep and he also said that Guzan will play, can't imagine AUFC is happy about that... they finally get him and now he is about to be gone for a month.
