Opinion on the Michael Bradley and Jermaine Jones pairing?

How successful do you think it is? I happen to love it. They both have a destroyer attitude and both can pick out a nice pass.
I think they bring some much needed toughness to our midfield and I trust that they can both get forward and track back.
I don't know how I feel about Mo Edu, don't hate him/don't love him. I like him more than Beckerman though.
The problem with Jones is that he's already 30 and will be 32 at the World Cup. I wonder if we have another guy like him in the pool; Danny Williams plays DM in the Bundesliga but Jurgy never really plays him there so I don't know how to rate him on the team.
I wish Stubear would be healthy :/

It's the heart and strength of the team. No question about that.

I love that Jermaine Jones will break a n**** in half.

Agree with UA. The best part of the team.

Jones can be dropped into Edu's role and Torres can be moved centrally. Torres' excellent passing range is limited on the wing, despite having the freedom to move inside. He's being played in a similar fashion to the way Guardiola employs both Cesc and Iniesta at times on the wing. It works for Barcelona because Busquets is an exceptional passing defensive mid. Torres is obviously not as skilled nor adaptable as Cesc/Iniesta, so he remains limited in his current role.
You can tell how well he plays when he's gets possesions/picks a cheeky pass, but, as is the case with most wide players, he goes MIA for long stretches of the game when deployed out wide.

I agree about Torres. He's such a good passer that I think he isn't being used correctly on the wing. He's a hell of a player with the ball at his feet but on the wing, it just doesn't seem natural to me.
I wonder if Jurgy has any plans to try that tactic out. I'd love to see it.

Jurgy's what the doctor ordered. Hiccups a plenty await, I hope everyone is patient, and he stays motivated.

A Neymar?
But yeah, I love this pairing.

Edu is a 66 on FIFA 12. It makes a bit of sense. He's athletic and otherwise terrible. Id almost rather see ricardo clark. I would rather see benny feilhaber. Edu should sit when Dempsey gets back to health.

I'd rather see Torres than Benny at CM if we're dropping Jones to DM. Ideally we'd have Stubear.

Did you really just use a FIFA ranking to help support your opinion?

about right. Edu is not very good at all.
Klejstan is a much better option, especially if you're looking for a player to sit infront of Bradley and Jones.

Stu can't be injured forever right? He's got to be healthy by 2014, right? Slide Jones back into Edu's role, and play Torres/Holden centrally.
I love the way JJ and MB feed off of each other and bring energy you didn't know existed. I also like the way they read each other so well and know when one should run and the other drop back.

I'm not even joking.

Is Edu's FIFA rating of 66 concurrent with the most recent squad update?

I'm serious though. He will eventually come back, right? I'm so perplexed by his length of injury I lose sleep over it.
