what are the local politicians investing?

Why would they not want R&R to spend more money on their community? What is is costing the local gov't?

I will say their current train station is not ready to host a large number of away fans. It is tiny.

And that’s all I was getting at People over there tend to be a lot more accepting of their perceived station in life. The clubs are a lot more woven into the fabric of the area. Even though some fans may be thinking how awesome it would be there will undoubtedly be others that are like “what are doing pushing for this? This is crazy for this area. “

I can understand it to a degree. There's a lot of other non-football infrastructure that needs to be build and upgraded as well. I'm sure no one wants to be kept holding the bag, but they're certainly more conservative than I was expecting.
