I think Jones and Bradley both played well, I think Jermaine was more accurate passing the ball. Short, mid, and long range.

The problem was that the only people doing damage on the wings were Bradley, Juan, and Steve. Boca can't attack on the left side, and Cakes and Deuce pulled one of their disappearing acts. Actually, Clint was involved on the interior, but he wasn't sharp. Donovan needs to get involved because he can cause so much damage when he runs at defenders with the ball. De Jong almost crumbled earlier.

Dempsey definitely wasn't sharp. I don't think Donovan was bad, but outside of the nice ball which lead to the goal he was pretty quiet.

He's not as adventurous in his passing as Bradley is. Which isn't a slight against him, but it's obvious that Bradley is given the freer role.

exactly what I said to my brother as we're watching the first half, I bet Bob told them to keep playing the long ball in hopes that Altidore or Juan find some space behind the defense.

we don't have the technical skill to do that. and any technical skill we do have remotely similar doesn't get called up or utilized when it does

I don't know. It seems I can think of two switches by Jones that were more ambitious than anything Bradley tried.

Jose Torres.
Tim Ream has great skill for a defender, which is why I'm so happy to see him on the pitch.
He needs to beef up, though.

We can play balls in behind the defense in the attacking third though. We don't need to send it from defensive third to attacking third. Build it up from defense to midfield, you can link up with your forwards but have them drop it back. Draw the defenders out and slip one through the back line.

Jones just needs to make the simple play. Bradley is more of the playmaker. For the most part he did but giveaways in your half by deep lying central midfielders lead to goals. Two in one half is too many. He was better though and had some good moments.
