We are already on the outside looking in for a top 4 spot, but anything other than 3 pts in this game will end any hopes for the top 4. I'll be watching to see how the guys come out and compete today.

Has Jose trotted out this lineup this season?
Posted on 4/16/21 at 2:56 pm to Fratastic423
Not that I have seen. I wonder how much Reguilon being out of position on that PK had to do with this formation. That being said I really want to see that replay again. They kept playing it after it was awarded and it looks like James kicks the ground in anticipation of contact. He was definitely in a bad position so not much of an argument from me.

It did look like James had kicked the ground but there was also no complaints from Reguilon. If he isnt going to complain I assume it was an appropriate call.
I agree about him being out of position and the wing back role.

Blah, trotting out the same ole garbage
I cannot say that "this is my club" as all I own is 2 kits; but god damn does Jose need to be fired. You can place blame on the players for some of the mistakes, but Jose is the one at the helm and this is shite. Decisions making no fricking sense; taking off N'Dombele in a game you really must win for any chance at CL but leaving Sissoko on, not using the 3rd sub until Kane gets hurt with 30 seconds left with Dele, Lo Celso, Bale, Vinicius on the bench. Deserves to be canned.

Mr. Levy, is that you?

It was beyond time
I really thought Levy would’ve given him one last chance at Carabao but even if we win it’s not enough with the talent we have

May as well fire up the rumor mill about possible managers:
-Julian Nagelsmann
-Scott Parker
-Eddie Howe
-Steven Gerrard
-Graham Potter
-Tim Sherwood

Ryan Mason has been named caretaker manager
This tweet I saw really sums it up especially with all the shite news that the club and the sport has been experiencing as of late:

Glenn Ebrey @glennebrey This probably isn’t the morning for football fairytales but Ryan Mason, who nearly died on the pitch and was forced to retire aged 26, leading his boyhood team out as manager for a cup final feels at least like some sort of antidote to the circus of greed. #THFC

I really like this move. Can't say I want Mason as the permanent manager, but I have no problem with it until the end of the season.

I was never a huge fan of the mourinho appointment, but I’d rather him still be here over a lot of the current players. The players have managed to get Pochettino, and now Mourinho fired. There needs to be a massive clear out this summer just so the new guy has a chance to implement his plan.

Scenes when Mason trots out a Winks-Sissoko midfield with Davies at LB
I would be lying if I said I haven't thought about selling Son or Kane to fund an overall stronger squad. Similar to how Liverpool sold Coutinho a few years back.

Bold strategy to fire the guy who never loses a league cup the week of the league cup final when you haven't won a trophy in well over a decade.

Agreed. I think we all thought he was going to stay until at least the Cup Final.
There must've been an absolutely huge falling out to pull the trigger this week.

I love both so much that I honestly hope they leave. We are so far from challenging for a real title at the moment, and Levy is never going to make the investment needed to make that a possibility in the short term. We had a chance at winning PL & CL, and came up short. That cycle is done. I want to see them both move on to a club that has a realistic chance at winning.

I would melt. It’s going to be hilarious if Dele still can’t get playing time under Mason.

Absolute scenes when you sell Son for 140 mil, and then buy 10 players, including Etienne Capoue, who might be playing for Villareal now?

I see what you did there
Screw it, sell Kane and buy Bobby Soldado with the earnings.

The Ryan Mason Era begins today. 6 PL Games left and a Cup Final let’s see if we can save the season with one of our own. Prince Harry also approves
quote:
Harry Kane @HKane Having come through the academy together I know how much it will mean to @RyanMason to take charge of the team for the rest of the season. We'll give him everything we've got for these next 7 games.
