Don't you just love how he epicly sprints out like he's going to start a counter like Pepe used to only to hold them ball for 20 seconds and then just punt it? That is textbook Mings.

That.. or he kicks it out of play, around the half way line, always to the right side of the field..

Ole Pepe. Firmly believe he got the shortest end of the Rodger's stick. He was getting older, but damn, Rodgers really messed him up IMO. Truly a 2 footed keeper that could probably play outfield for at least a championship club.

Bring back Marko and loan out Lallana. He is just not a top player, and never will be. He takes up prime real estate that should be reserved for a world class talent. I like his effort, but he has neither the speed nor the technical ability that is needed to elevate this squad.

Dude what?

He's probably the most technical player on the team besides Coutinho.

He's been flogged out of position for so long Rodgers has fricked his confidence and mindset. Give him a chance under Klopp.

People forget just how damn good he was the season before we bought him. Without question a top 5-10 player in the league. Watch his highlights man, he was badass.

No way we would loan him.. If (big if) Klopp didn't want him, he'd be sold.. at a loss.

I agree that he isn't good enough to be a nailed on starter for us (I know others disagree)... I think he's a squad player at best (maybe not this season).. If he's willing to do that, I wouldn't mind keeping him.

I'd argue Can is more technically sound than Lallana, but nonetheless, he doesn't produce! I can't remember a single time that I've been watching a match and though, damn that Lallana is impressive. Never! And he goes down easier than a drunk prom date.

Lallana does go down easy, that I will agree with. Does it far to often, and never gets calls. Makes me feel sorry for Coutinho. That guy gets straight knocked over by opponents for the ball and gets the foul called less than 50% of the time it seems. That enrages me.

No need to start a debate in this thread but I feel like Can probably has one of the worst touches on this squad. It has been mentioned multiple times by others.

Go to 1:16 here, pretty sure Emry Can has never been part of a build up goal like this. Just watch the whole video. LINK

Lallana is extremely gifted technically and he's a smart player. I know he has been underwhelming but he has also been played out of position. I still think he can do a job for us, and when on form, he's an excellent player.

Not ready to right any of our players off yet. Not at all and of course I trust Kopp to make the right call.

Just heard he's wanting to bring back Marko in January. Great news.

I won't write any players off either.. and I hope Lallana comes good, because he's a likeable guy... I just really question his decision making and his need to take way too many touches.. I'd love nothing more than for him to prove my doubts wrong..

1/2 of the journos are saying he's going to recall him as there's a clause that allow him to do so. The other half are claiming it's a year long loan with no option. No one knows so to say that isn't true

edit: joyce and barrett confirmed that it's a year loan so he won't be coming back

What the point of having a loan like that with no call back?

What if half the team went down by January, which has kind of been the case?

Anyone else read that article from Sterling's agent that came out? Makes him seem like much less of a twat than everyone thought he was and honestly makes Brendan look like even more of an idiot/egomaniac.

Granted it was on the dailyfail but his agent basically said if it weren't for Rodgers, Sterling would still be here, especially with Klopp.

Eh, he's still a twat. Or at least his agent is.

His agent is also a raging arse, and knows that he should do some preventive maintenance in the area of public opinion on Sterling, should he eff up again while at city. Both Rodgers and Sterling's agent were raging twats during the ordeal.

The way I see it, his agent made Rodgers look like a jerk for stating that he believed Sterling would sign with us still. The agent's ego got in the way when he said that, and now he is trying to go back over the situation and come out pristine.

frick all involved in that shite show, including Sterling for being a high-chasing twat before-hand.

True enough.

Fuggit, that little huffing twat can take his money. Nothing we can do about it at this point.

Although if true, it did bring some clarity on how stupid we can be with our dealings? No buy out clause? Who gives a shite? Just make it super high and anticipate him becoming WC.

My thoughts from the other thread...

quote:

I think it was evident that Sterling was not happy with the way he was being used at LFC last season... It's a big part of the reason his productivity was down last season.

Not to mention, he was asked to be the man (LS gone, Studge hurt) and he wasn't ready for that...

I don't see the point in Ward coming out with this now, except to try and do some PR work for Sterling... But they handled the whole thing poorly, as well.

As soon as we hired Klopp, I thought to myself that Sterling is tailor made for his system... If we'd have cut bait in the summer and hired Klopp, he may still be here.. but he's gone and we got paid handsomely, so we move on..

edit: BR did do some good things for Sterling.. How many other managers would have given him a holiday, mid-season, to go to Jamaica and rest??

Yup. Gotta move on. And hey, guess what boys? We've got a football match tomorrow against Rubin Kazan! Can't say I've ever been more excited for a Europa group play match!
