Hell no... Just chalk it up to a poor signing from BR and move on for whatever we can get for him

I was actually reading articles this morning that say he has been told to report to preseason training.. and starting the what if conversation.. so, i decided to play..

I'd leave it to Klopp to decide, but I would tend to think he wouldn't be welcome.. There is part of me that really wants to see his full potential unleashed, but I'd be willing to bet that will never happen..

He's one Rodgers never wanted, to be fair to him... Not that I'd trust him to pick any one better

Zielinski rumors picking up again.. Apparently we bid £9.5mm for him..

I was hoping he'd get some game time in the match today.. So far, he's on the sub bench..

Would rather Dahoud, but Zielinski looks like an interesting prospect and for a reasonable price. Not 100% sure where he'd be best fit though

I'd prefer Dahoud, as well.. Zielinski looks a little more versatile..

Mel Reddy saying we're going to wait until next year for Dahoud.

I'm assuming that's due to BM not wanting to sell off both him and Xhaka in the same summer?

links to Kante and Walcott today.. I can't imagine pulling the former and I'm not quite sure Theo defends the way Klopp asks (though I admit, Ive always had a soft spot for him and wouldn't mind seeing him at LFC)

I think that may be part of it. He price seems to be a bit steep as well for a raw player of his age. The incremental bump in pricing of waiting a year compared to him having a year to develop in a good team and a good league seems to tip the club in favor of leaving him be. That makes the original target of Zielinski the primary guy again - which would be backed up by our supposed 9 million offer that went in this past weekend for him.

Kante = no chance.

Walcott is intriguing for the right price.

yeah, much bigger and better situated clubs will be in for Kante..

I like him, but I want a MF'er that can dictate play from deep.. someone in the Xabi mold.. let Can or Hendo get forward and put in the work..

I'd like to see us go for Neves (Porto)...

Speaking of Porto, hated seeing Texeira leave for nothing (I know we get a measly development fee).. But he definitely needed to go somewhere and get first team football..

Supposedly Porto have refused to even open negotiations with us for Neves. Holy shite what I would do to have that guy in red....

As far as Teixiera it is what it is. Can't blame the kid for not wanting to waste his best years on the bench.

nope, I don't blame him at all.. I think you'll see a bunch now that Klopp is here.. meaning the older academy guys (or loanees - Wisdom, etc) that he just doesn't rate..

edit: well, probably not a bunch.. but you know what I mean

Yes, and it may also change Klopps plans regarding the preseason fitness and how quickly to get the Euro guys back up to speed.

That is an incredibly brutal opening to the season. I guess you could say that Arsenal have typically started the season flat with those losses to West Ham and Villa in recent years. Still, that's a very tough opening day.

That's two hard starts to seasons in a row for LFC... I think we will be more prepared for it this year.
