He is still so inconsistent I agree just stick him at cam so he doesn't have loads of extra responsibilities. In the box to box or holding role he turns the ball over way to much. And playing wingback wtf

He's worth 100k a week in this current market.

On his day, in the right position, he's one of the best out there. Just gotta play him there and stop asking guys to play 15 different roles in the team.

Rodgers is fricking FIFA naive sometimes. Thinks he's going to pull some rabbit out of the hat genius move and it always backfires and looks fricking stupid.

Meh, you guys pay pretty fat wages too.

Is Rojo really on 200/week? Saw that somewhere but thought it had to be BS.

Di Maria is on stupid wages too right?

Zidane says Real is "monitoring progress" of the Sterling contract situation.

Agreed and I'd be willing to give him that much.

Yeah, in this current climate, he's worth about 100k/wk (as is Raheem)... He's perfect in the B2B role, but's probably a victim of his versatility (as is Raheem)...

They are both young, talented, British and the cornerstones of our future.. I don't mind paying them, but there has to be a line in the sand... We shall see.. JWH has a pretty tough resolve when it comes to these matters...

Don't forget the 120k/wk you guys are paying Nani to play at Sporting!

Geez... he'd be the highest paid fricking player at our club after Stevie

Sterling wouldn't sniff Real's fricking starting 11.

If Di Maria can't make it there, you've got to be joking.

Let him go and piss his career away over there like so many before him.

I'd be super down to sell him, only problem is we will buy some shat after lowballing all the available actual talent.

I really don't trust BR in the transfer market... We'll end up with Ashley Williams, Scott Sinclair and Fabian Delph

I was actually a fan of Delph before this season. He's been a big disappointment, but then again so has every young English player outside of Kane.

I feel like Delph has been fantastic the last 18 months or so, in a very specific role. I wouldn't ask him to unlock a packed defense, but he can cover ground, he can move the ball, he can tackle, and he can dribble and recycle possession. When he does that he's excellent. He just doesn't have the possession game, but he will maybe free up Henderson to more attacking. And his passing is a bit too Hollywood.

It is. I was hoping that would translate to a more mature passing game this year. That's what I meant when I said he was a bit disappointing. He's still raw and I expected him to polish up a bit. Lambert certainly didn't help though.

English midfielders love the goddamn diagonal. If you could restrict the roles of Wilshere, Delph, and Henderson to do very specific things (i.e. Do things they are good at), they might have a decent enough mdifield not to get passed around by international teams. Delph is obviously the weaklink but I can't think of another English midfielder to pair with Henderson and Wilshere, who are clearly the two most talented. And a Henderson-Wilshere pairing wouldn't work for the same reason a Ramsey-Wilshere pairing doesn't work. Barkley has less end product than Wilshere with none of the ability to recycle possession. Unless Ryan Mason steps up, or another off the radar player, I can see Delph doing the dirty work, Henderson running his head off, and Wilshere picking passes.

Mason seems like the typical Spurs flash in the pan to me. That flavor of the month they always seem to produce. Although I've eaten my words on both Bale and Kane when it comes to that.

I don't know what Mason is good at, but I feel like he's poor man's Henderson.

Who is Pool gonna target this summer?

On the low end, Ings (which I'm a big fan of). On the high end, Lacazette and Pjanic. Neither of which I have any confidence whatsoever we'll get.
