He's the most reliable Spanish source I know of (especially Pep)

Sky Germany now reporting the deal will be announced at 10 pm central european time. also i'm seeing a bunch of rumors about Jupp staying on one more year and Pep coming in as an assistant with him taking over the 14/15 season. Jupp speaks spanish, so he would mostly be staying on to ease the assimilation. Pep would be cool, but I'd be happier with Hitzfeld. He's an absolute legend.

One thing I've learned is that Bayern hates when news breaks about them. If they're talking about an announcement KHR will delay just out of vengeance.

Honigstein, who I believe writes for the Guardian, is one of the more knowledgeable Bundesliga journo's. He's been tweeting/retweeting a few things regarding this, says that FCB are 2-5 odds and money is flooding in right now. If anyone is interested in a good bundesliga follow that doesn't pollute your timeline with shite you dont care about, give him a follow @honigstein

eta: Bayern have also purchased a massive plot of land in Munich that they mentioned could be used to build a state of the art youth academy. Pep loves the kids

regardless I dont see this happening today or tomorrow even. Pep has said the entire time he isn't going to talk seriously with a club who still has a coach, Bayern maintains that they have not discussed in detail what Jupp will do next year. Their talks are rumored to begin in late January.

Yup, everyone was being a bit premature. We'll see how it ends up but there has to be some fire to go with all this smoke.

The Jupper needs to talk to da board though. I wouldn't be mad if he came back, the players absolutely love him. Ribery is practically gay for him, Franck loves the club and everyone around it. He has credited FCB for changing his life almost every chance he gets.

it's not easy telling international quality players that they arent playing this week and still have squad harmony at a peak level.

Guillem Balague on Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich

Pep Guardiola has not agreed nothing with anybody. It is a categorical, “no, not yet” from his camp. But rumours come out every day about where he will coach next. His agent said he will take a decision at the end of January or beginning of February. We are getting there. Yesterday, the latest rumour came from Germany –Pep, according to some stories, has agreed to join Bayern. His camp insist, “no! We are still leaving all the options open”. But Bayern think they have convinced him in a 90 % and some German journalists have been briefed in that direction. There is still a 10 per cent left if that is true I would add.

I hope they realise Pep is not the usual manager. He will think about his decision 100.000 times. And meetings with clubs are taking place (City have not approached him yet officially but will explain to him the project soon) because he wants to know where he stands, what they are offering. My question is, why does he need to decide yet?

Because he needs to start working. He has had enough rest, enough days with nothing to do. He wants to open the computer and prepare next season with his next club. And timing here is crucial. There are only two clubs that can say to him now, go on, start planning, you will be our coach next –Chelsea and Bayern. The rest cannot take a decision yet, there is still lots to play for.

Pep is a romantic and joining Bayern would fulfil many of his dreams. Raul has spoken to him very highly about the Bundesliga and has convinced him it is one of the strongest leagues in the world, one of the most entertaining… and he will probably win League and Cup without much effort if the club give him one or two top players, which they will. So he will start his career in another club winning almost for sure -which is what he wants.

It makes a lot of sense to link Pep with Bayern and his people have spoken to the Bavarian club. But, categorically, no decision has been made yet

I don't follow much in the bundesliga, but is Jupp considering leaving? Bayerns top of the table and has been brilliant in CL.

He's 67 and has previously said he wants to retire. He's also said he would like to stay one more season so who knows. Obviously, Pep would be a great hire but another season of Jupp would be cool too.

Tweezy and I have talked about possible coaches and we both would love Sammer if he'd want to do it plus Ottmar Hitzfeld, Mirko Slomka, and Thomas Tuchel.

Yes, I would love Sammer for the simple fact that if i disapproved he would eat any of my future children I think his calling, however is his current position. That's where I think the club benefits the most. we'll see though, still lots of time.

Pep could do scary things at Bayern if he can just come close to what he did at Barca. And their academy would allow them to invest heavily in other areas of the club.
