re: No thread on the POS Suarez?

I'll give him that. I actually completely agree with you. I just think the act was cheap and shitty to see so deep into the World Cup. I openly said he was a scary son of a bitch in reference to his insane goals. I just have other reasons besides the biting incident that put me off of Suarez. He could also do worse shite, such as match fixing, so he's not scum of the Earth. He's just a Liverpool player with enough ammo to allow me to discredit him as a method of forgetting how much I hate David Moyes. I'd take a team full of Suarez clones to see the end of this Moyes United team.

It's cheap. It's not a way I would ever want to win. I don't know if I would ever be totally OK with my team winning in a finish like that.
It is cheap. It is dirty. I'd take a win like that in the knockout rounds of the WC any day though.

Premeditated or not, Uruguay was punished. I don't have an issue with it. Its the highest of stakes. You do whatever you need to do to win without hurting someone.

It wasn't premeditated at all. Luis Suarez and Jorge Fucile both just had the same spontaneous idea to block it with their hands. Suarez only ended up being the one to block it because Fucile's hand missed it. It's pretty clear that the emergency plan in that situation was to keep the ball out of the net. Uruguay's manager's reaction afterwards is pretty telling as well. It was along the lines of "It's not cheating if someone got punished!" Maybe not, but it's still highly illegal and a really shady tactic.
As for people liars statement, that is beyond ridiculous. How many great players and teams in history have been in that position and not done the same thing? It was an act of desperation and an understandable one, but there wasn't any innocent mistakes about it. I'm not trying to be "holier than thou", but it's a little ridiculous say that everyone would have done the same thing. Loads of great players would have attempted to block it with their head/body/etc and not attempt to handle it. It's not a "morality" issue. Those are fricking rules of the game. Like I said before, Suarez isn't the scum of the Earth because he could have done much worse, but to act like it's something any player would have done is ridiculous. If it was, why would there even be a debate in the first place? Whether you like his willingness to do it to win or think that the punishment was fitting, it's still a cheap move and illegal, regardless of who does it.

How often does that same circumstance occur in the World Cup? I can see why someone wouldn't do it in just a league match, but the stakes are much higher in the World Cup. I hope I would do the same thing Luis did if I was in that situation, but I'm not sure what I would do in the heat of the moment. It's drilled into your head not to touch the ball with your hand, so it just never crosses the mind of most players to even try that. I'm curious if you were to ask other players who have been in the same situation if they had thought to reach up and knock the ball away, would they have?

Yea Suarez is bat shite crazy. No I don't condone a single crime he has committed. But I'll take him every fricking day of the week on my squad.
I just wish I didn't lose so much sleep from having a Manchester United fan hate a Liverpool player!
says the guy with an avi calling RVP a count its great irony. If RVP is a count than what is Luis?

You're butt hurt because you have worse than shite for strikers, and Suarez is the living breathing embodiment that Liverpool are playing much, much better than Chelsea this season.
The hilarious part is despite it all there is zero separation between the two clubs. Also, I'm getting ready to watch my team in the knockout rounds of the CL. But hey, you have the FA Cup to look forward to.

You are missing the point. I don't care if Suarez is a count. And I don't care if other fans hate him. He's a world class player and football isn't a popularity contest. I want him on my squad when he's on form. Just like I'd want RVP, Terry, Cole, Ferdinand, Rooney or any other cunty player/personality when on form.
So keep on hating him, and I hope opposing grounds continue to feed him (pun intended) with hatred and vitriol. He loves it.

Lol, I've never seen a player cry so much about his treatment from the press/fans. He desperately wants out of Liverpool/England because of it.
What he doesn't seem to realize is that he's brought every bit of it upon himself.

He has more goals than 11 sides at the halfway mark. He just set a PL record for goals in a month. His 1.58 goals per match is tops in Europe by a significant margin (second is Ronaldo at 1.13/match). He's on pace to shatter English scoring records. And he's doing it with children beside him. His attacking partners are 21 (Coutinho) and 19 (Sterling) years old. LFC are top of the table in December, and the squad is having its best scoring season in over 100 years.
We'll continue to take our chances. If he bites again then he's a fricking idiot. But I'll still be waiting with open arms once he does his time.

for sure a great year so far, i hate liverpool but respect them unlike other sides. Gerrard is due for his title.

Dude there is no arguing. To their credit they have all know he is a worthless piece of shite and they don't care if he bites someone again (or commits any other worse atrocity) because he is scoring goals.
No titles in nearly a quarter century and pride and self-respect go out the window.

Nobody cares if other fans don't like em, hell I've hated players for a lot less, like Drogba and his stupid hair...
I think most speak up when he's made up to be some horrible monster of a person, when thats far from the truth... It's not like he is scum like John Terry...

I see 3 points and 9 goals of separation. Can't wait for Arsenal to embarrass what has been nothing but an above average Chelsea squad this season.

If you think its a fact that Luis didn't leave because no one wanted him then there's no answer other than you trolling. Either that or you're way more ignorant about the game than I previously thought (which is saying something).

This is the third time you've brought up our history without any Liverpool fan mentioning it. You are the definition of irony.
