Recently went to a lecture on this topic recently and the speaker was one of the leading researchers on sport's concussions and brain injury. He said they are just beginning to get into heading the ball in soccer but he definitely thinks it could lead to damage over the years.

You mean to tell me hitting a ball that is moving 50+ mph with your head isn't good for your brain? I'm shocked.

Good thing Roger Goodell has no jurisdiction here. He'd have all the players looking like Petr Cech.
