I’m worried about Nashville. Seem to have the least hype surrounding an expansion side in a long time.

National hype might be lower. People in town are pretty pumped. Decent turnouts at USL games this year. I think being in Nissan year one is a huge downer though. There will be no atmosphere and it'll feel dead at home matches.

For sure.

Really need to get their shite together with the stadium or it will struggle to recover.

The cart before the horse thing with the stadium is so typical and frustrating.

Also sucks they couldn't figure out how to make it work downtown. Would have been the best experience in the US minus maybe Seattle.

Nashville was a terrible expansion choice and it will flop.

You're right. Nashville has never taken on a random sports team and gained an amazing group of fans.

The NHL team there has to block opposing fans from buying tickets.

It's a great city. I'm not knocking Nashville.

They don't have to do that to sell tickets

I don’t think Nashville will flop but it’s going to be likely be a rough couple of years to start. I hope they are taking notes from Minnesota United with respect to 1) digging their way out of a talent ditch 2) keeping fans engaged when the team sucks

Playing any soccer game at Nissan Stadium is dreadful. Been there many times for US matches. Getting our own stadium will really make a lot of buzz.

I'm not sure what you think this means.

I just wonder how much Nashville is hurt by Atlanta being 3 years older and successful.

Just checked the ticket page and around 256 season tickets still available in the supporters section. Better than I thought it would be.

No one in Nashville gives a shite about Atlanta FC.

You think MLS teams have multi city fan bases? Get real man.

The SC following is decent. If they can figure out the stadium quickly and get a solid team, it will work. Just look at the Sounds, one of the top attended AAA teams. Great stadium just off downtown and sweet experience.

The stadium is the key and again, huge loss not being able to have it right across the River from broadway. That shitty fricking metal scrap yard is an abomination.

I wasn't talking about people physically in Nashville. More about people in the spaces between Nashville and Atlanta. A lot of the people with season tickets for Atlanta do not live in Atlanta. Hell, I know a few people in Montgomery and Birmingham that have tickets. One of the reasons they are able to sell 70k+ tickets are because of people in Alabama, Tennesse, and South Carolina.

You have Huntsville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville that are roughly the same distance between Nashville and Atlanta. I guarantee you that people in all three cities give some support to Atlanta United. Would they have supported an MLS team in Nashville over a team in Atlanta 3 years ago? Can Nashville do anything to get them to switch now?
