Are Predators still made with quality?

Adidas has kind of bastardized it over the years. They ditched the k-leather and the model is all about the rubber control elements. The last update I saw was before the World Cup and it was God awful looking - reviews were not good either. Outside of the late 90’s to early 00’s, I’m generally not a fan of anything Adidas has done.

I’m not a fan of adidas at all. Puma seems okay. I like the boots New Balance makes. My son loves their baseball cleats.

We finally went with the Puma Futures. He likes them. Says they are comfortable. Thank y’all for your insight

Puma Future is one of the most comfortable line of boots available. I’ve had 3 pairs, love them.

New Balance were garbage when they first got into soccer, but have turned the corner recently. The Furon v6 and v7 are very good as are the 442 Pro. The 442 Pro is k-leather, lighter than some top end speed boots, and can be had for under $100 on sale. Astounding value.

any cleats made of (real) kangaroo leather.
I'm pretty sure that I read they will stop making kangaroo leather cleats due to progressive Aussies banning the use of kangaroo leather. It's a shame because those are typically the best made cleats.

Yep. The Puma King and Nike Tiempo use synthetic leather now.

Almost every pro soccer player wears synthetic. I don’t know why y’all are still talking about kangaroo leather lol.

Will probably change to high end calf leather soon.

Almost every pro soccer player wears what they’re paid to wear. I’m fine with either personally. I actually tend to like knit uppers.

Instead, get some Copa Mundial, or any cleats made of (real) kangaroo leather. I converted about a year ago and it’s ridiculous how much better/more comfortable they are.

i was always a puma king fan, but cant go wrong with either.

A side note: K-Leather vs Kangaroo Leather

Before discussing kangaroo leather, I want to clear the air when it comes to Kangaroo leather vs. K-leather. Many people seem to think that K-leather is some sort of synthetic kangaroo leather. They are the same thing! K-leather is just the abbreviated version of kangaroo leather, it's not different in any way, shape or form.

Are the $275 boots really worth it?

They ARE, but your 11 year old isn't good enough to get anything out of them.

Soccer cleats and running shoes kind of work the same way. For 95% of people, the $100-125 level is PLENTY of shoe.

Under no circumstances should a serious runner or soccer player use off-brand or $35 shoes. (Unless you hate your feet.)

at you thinking I’m wrong and chiming in as if it’s some sort of gotcha.

Nike Tiempo Legend 10 was just released. It no longer uses k- leather.

Even Legends find ways to evolve. The latest iteration of these Elite cleats has all-new FlyTouch Plus engineered leather

Puma is phasing out kangaroo leather. The King Top still uses it but not for long. The King Ultimate just came out and uses synthetic leather.

Edit: Puma and Nike to stop using kangaroo leather.
