Some positions in soccer require strength just like some positions in baseball don't. Lead off hitters aren't always strong guys while most center defenders in soccer are big guys. Then again you're 4 hole hitter is probably strong while a winger in soccer is probably a smaller faster guy.

I don't know man. Something just seems weird about sliding to take out a man from behind and running around with no use of your arms or legs. Maybe it's cultural, but it's very off-putting and doesn't seem as masculine.

Just because you can't touch the ball with your hands doesn't mean there isn't tons of pushing pulling and full speed clattering into some one at full speed shoulder to shoulder... The game is more physical than those who have never played it realize.

I've played a lot of baseball, soccer, and basketball in my life. I've needed more strength in soccer than the other two.
