Almost 30 years after the founding of the Premier League, the answer has to be Oldham Athletic. This is a club that finished 18th in League 2 this season and was in a relegation battle that could have seen them out of the Football League entirely. A few years ago, Coventry City may have been in this spot, as they were in League 2 for a spell and were in multiple groundshares, but now they are back in the Championship and at the Ricoh Arena again.

Coventry were one of the major clubs in the midlands
Terrible owners created their down fall
The fact they are back in the championship is amazing bc the club was dead

I believe when Coventry eventually got relegated, they had been in the top flight for 30-something years straight.
I'd say Wednesday is a little surprising considering how much of a yo-yo club they've been for much of their existence.

East Anglia is severly underrated. Bury St. Edmunds is one of the prettiest towns in England.
