I feel a "Duty" to support our domestic league and they are doing a great job of making me want to tell the MLS to frick off. Its incredible.

All these "new" fans gained during the World Cup might want to watch something once the tournament is over. Well, EPL won't start for another 6 weeks or so, and a lot of Americans will wonder, "Why on Earth watch a foreign league? Don't we have a league in the US?"

We do, but it's entirely too inaccessible. I would love to follow the league more, especially since Atlanta is getting a team in a few years. But, as many have stated, watching games is about as easy as getting Fernando Torres to score for Chelsea.

They took a 3 week break. And what should they do, go up against football? Playing through the summer is great.

Then they need to make the break last the entire WC at least. NHL doesn't play during the Olympics. It's inconvenient being a month long break, but when you make teams play without their best players just because you won't go to FIFA's standard schedule, that is stupid.

MLS has a new TV deal in effect next year with 3 games on national TV per week and the rest of the games will be on WatchESPN. So there ya go.

ESPN will be televising Sporting KC vs Chicago Fire at 2 CT on 7/6 (next Sunday).
ESPN2 will be televising 5 games this July. LINK
NBCSN will also be televising 5 games this July, with a doubleheader on the 4th. LINK

I can watch my favorite EPL club far easier than I can my favorite MLS club. Thats just fricking dumb.

This year its just $60 to buy access to every single non national broadcast online.

It can't get much easier than that.

Maybe you guys shouldn't be such lazy Americans?

This is interesting. We need more exposure to gain popularity of the league. With popularity, the teams will have to get more competitive, and should bring up some really talented players. I just dream of the day when the MLS is on the same playing field as the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, and Bundesliga

That would be great. 2 month mid-season break for WC every 4 years? Not every country could have a winter Cup. Personally, I like the MLS schedule better. My issue is more that MLS does not take a full WC break. It would be a pain, but some European leagues take a month or more in attempts to avoid the worst winter weather.
