Pretty much the man today.

And to think I overlooked him when looking at Argentina's roster of forwards for the World Cup.

Messi, Higuain, Tevez, Aguere, Milito

Plain fricking sick...dude just made himself a lot of money today.

No more than three of them can be on the field at the same time though and three might be pushing it.

The Argentinean's were huge for Inter in this tournament, Milito is finally now not going to be underrated anymore, and Cambiasso is just brilliant at what he does. I'm still laughing at that fricking moron Maradona not picking him for the WC squad.

Maradona may just say F it and play 'em all at once.

He's just as likely to say F it and not play any of them at all and then tell the country to suck his d!ck.

I think that four of them could legitimately be on the field at the same time if argentina chooses to go offensive.. messi and tevez underneath milito and higuian/aguero

That's actually one of the oldest formations in association football. It was called the WM formation.

The best team isn't always just picing the best players. Although I'd agree that maradona is a tool of the highest magnitude.

A finisher in the true sense of the word. He has been that way all season for Inter.

He made people look flat stupid on that second goal.

But his after parties are pretty sweet.

Milito is just one of those players who is always in the right spot and knows how to get the ball in the back of the net.

True. People don't realize how high scoring games used to be in the very early part of the 20th century. It was common to see score lines of 5-4, 6-5, etc. Partly because of the emphasis on offense and partly because goalkeeping back in the day was more about style than efficiency. I remember reading something on 1920's goalkeeping in a book. Said that most keepers wouldn't bother making a save unless when they did it they could fully outstrech and make it look beautiful and elegant. Kind of strange.

Kind of like how some countries/teams apparently don't want to bother scoring goals unless a backheel or rainbow or something "beautiful" is involved?

I'm a fan of the English game. This type of mentality is foreign to me.

Thank goodness, I'm glad there is someone else with some sense out there.
