I figured soccer was international enough like hockey that the big boys are basically all star teams compared to club teams.

This is beyond dumb. They’re all national teams. This is like saying winning a college national title isn’t impressive because they’re not playing NFL teams. All the best players in the world are still playing in the World Cup. Yes there might not be a super team, but every national team has to manage with their pool of players. It’s not like there’s one country that is made up of all first team champions league players. Try again.

I don't need to try it again. Club teams would beat national teams. They practice with each other waaaaay more, and obviously you have more talent on the team when you aren't forced to only take players from one country. I'm honestly shocked you're trying to argue it, and even more shocked you're being condescending while doing so.

From what requires more skill, IE is more impressive, the club championships are unequivocally better.
Because the world cup is not yearly, it is also an accomplishment that is quite great. Using a World Cup win to but Messi ahead of Jordan is stupid though for the reasons I have said.

They have been phenomenal for 3 years now and no one can deny that. As I've mentioned, their balance is rivaled really only against those teams.

The fact that club teams are better and more fluid make it less impressive. You can build super teams and transfer. You have to drag the country of your arbitrary birth to greatness.
